Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Continue!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday! Welcome to Day #2 of the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks! Tomorrow is release day! Woot!!

Today, the Baker's Dozen get to share TWO different sets with you! I am featuring Sweet Occassions and let me tell you, this is SUCH a FUN set to use!!!

I made two cards today using this set, and you can see that I achieved totally different looks with each one!

For my first card, I began by stamping the image (which is the entire rectangle with the cupcake and the word "thanks") in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I stamped my image again onto some Farm Fresh patterned paper by October Afternoon. I used Prism Cardstock for my card in Rose Medium and Suede Brown Dark.

I colored the frame, cupcake and "thanks" with Copic Markers, and then paper pieced the patterned paper so it was the background. I LOVE the look of this!!! I added tons of sewing with my machine and the patterned paper on the card is also Farm Fresh by October Afternoon. I added a double ribbon of Fudge Twill and Raspberry Twill and two brown brads from my stash finished this one off!


For my second card, I used NO patterned paper!!! I really wanted to do some background stamping, and the small flower image from this set was perfect!!! I started by stamping my friend image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I then cut it out to showcase the wavy frame of the design.

I used Prism cardstock for my card, Intense Pink, Frosted Teal and Sunflowers Medium. I used Memento Canteloupe to stamp the flowers on the Sunflowers Medium panel and Memento Summer Sky to stamp the flowers on the Frosted Teal panel. In the center of each panel I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles! This card is SUPER sparkly in real life! This one was finished with Whisper White Organdy Ribbon and a sweet sentiment, "I'm so glad that you're my friend" stamped onto the Sunflowers Medium panel!
