Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!!
I am SO very excited to be playing along with the AMAZING MFT Design Team this month as the MFT July Guest Designer!
Today just may be my favorite day of previews so far!! I am sharing two new Pure Innocence sets with you today!! (there are actually more than two being released on the 7th, but I am just showing you two today!!).
My first card makes me happy! LOL!! This card features Pure Innocence Tea Party and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! I have a little girl (and another little girl on the way), so this set is a must have in my stamp collection!!
I started by stamping the table and PI girl in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream. I then stamped the tea cup and teapot twice. All the images were colored with Copic Markers and the tea cup and teapot were cut out and popped up with Foam Tape.
All the patterned paper on my card is from Thrift Shop by October Afternoon (I am still in love with this paper!) and I used two of the patterns to paper piece the tablecloth as well as the PI girl's dress. I created the scallops with the flower pattern using the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and the sentiment, "Tea Party" is also from this set. I created a little tag for it and attached it with a Cream Jenni Bowlin Vintage Button tied with Chocolate Linen Thread. I used more linen thread around one of the patterned paper panels as well.
For my second card, I used the UTTERLY darling Pure Innocence Are We There Yet? Anyone with little ones knows that phrase very well!
I started by stamping this little sweetie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her shirt, purse and suitcase with the same patterned paper I used on the card, Cherry Hill by October Afternoon. I used the same paper to create the flower which I used a Cuttlebug Die for and then added a button in the center.
It should come as no surprise that once again, I used the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die (can you tell that I ADORE this Die?), this time using two different felt collections from MFT. The pink felt is from Banana Split and the green felt is from Outdoor Essentials.
I sewed around the edge of the back panel with my sewing machine and added three hot pink brads to the focal image. The sentiment, "Bon Voyage" is also from Pure Innocence Are We There Yet, and I created a tab for it that I attached to my focal panel. I attached the focal panel on an angle...something that my OCD gives me a hard time with, but I love once I actually do it! LOL!!
