Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!
Welcome to the 2nd day of sneak peeks for the fabulous new release from There She Goes!!
Did you make your way here from my super fab friend Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so that you don't miss a thing!
Today, the Trendsetter's are sharing peeks of TWO FABULOUS mini sets, Kindred Spirits and Winning The Race!
For my first card, I used the GORGEOUS new mini set, Kindred Spirits! Now, I know, this card isn't my "normal", but I totally LOVE it!!
I started with inspiration from Heather's Blog and THIS CARD in particular...I LOVE her CAS style, which is something I struggle with. From her blog, I was directed to the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog, and my card is based on the 100th Sketch on their Blog.
Now, my card has more layers (I just can't help myself), but I still think I achieved a CAS look. I started with Choice Snow White Cardstock and stamped the flowers from Kindred Spirits in Memento Rose Bud and Memento Pear Tart. I stamped the base first by stamping off once, and then stamped the outline over the base using the ink straight from the pad.
The patterned paper is DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket and I added a border of green felt using the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die. I finished this one off with three hot pink brads in the top corner!
My second card today uses a FABULOUS new mini set called Winning The Race! This is the latest set in the There She Goes Stamps For A Cause, and for each Winning The Race Mini Set sold, $4.00 will be donated to the American Cancer Society!
For my card, I started by stamping the girl in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.
I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and I sewed around the edges and added a brad to each corner a la Jody Morrow (love how she does that!).
The patterned paper is from Ooh La La by My Minds Eye, and I also used Blush Red Light Cardstock that I first stamped the sentiment on, "Winning the race against cancer". I then embossed this panel with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.
The other layers were also sewn on my sewing machine and I added a border with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die. I also stamped, colored and cut out the finish line tape and the ribbon, and I adhered the finish line tape over the girl. I added a bow that I created with the Bow Easy using Whisper White Satin and added the pink ribbon on top.
The next stop on this FABULOUS hop is at the amazing Lisa's Blog!!
