Hi everyone! Happy Sunday! I am CERTAIN you are as excited about today's previews as I am...it's time to show you some of the new Pure Innocence stamp sets being released on Tuesday, February 1, 2011!! WOOT!
I limited myself to two cards for this post...otherwise I feel like you all have to keep scrolling...and scrolling...and scrolling. But don't worry...I have been stamping up a storm and have cards to come with all of the new PI's!
My first card today features the OH SO ADORABLE Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses! Though it's hard to pick a favorite, she may just be my favorite PI from this release (until I get to the next card and say it again! LOL!).
I've used this week's MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC4 again for my layout. I love this sketch and I find that it really lends itself to the sweet PI's. She is colored with Copic Markers and I cut her out (I believe people call that "fussy cutting", although I am not certain) and gave her wings a coat of glitter. I popped her up on foam tape on top of Circle Nestabilities which I layered over Kraft Cardstock cut with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily Die.
I created a little popped up sentiment flag for the sentiment, "Sending Butterfly Kisses" and I added two butterflies cut from the brand new Die-Namics Butterflies Dies, also being released on February 1st!! LOVE them!! The patterned paper is Tickled Pink from MME and I added some stitching and bling.
I used more of the same patterned paper inside the card, stamped this cutie again in Pink Pirouette, and then added another sentiment, "Spread Your Wings and Fly". I added a border with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily Border to be cohesive with the front of the card. LOVE how the patterns match on the dies.
For my second card today, I've used the January SFTYY sketch again. I really LOVE this sketch...and just wait until you see the February sketch...LOVE!
On this card, I've used the DELIGHTFUL Pure Innocence You're So Tweet, and she truly is! I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. The patterned paper is Indie Girl from Sassafrass Lass and I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged the edges.
I added a cluster of flowers and leaves cut with the Die-Namics Flower and Leaf Trio Die and added a silver brad in the center of each flower. To anchor my sentiment to the card, "A little birdie told me", I attached it with a double button cut with the Die-Namics Button Quartet Die and I tied them together with a piece of twine. Two borders cut with the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip were also added.
The inside of the card carries over the sentiment with "You're So Tweet", and I stamped her again in Marina Mist and added some more of the same patterned paper and another border. Stitching on the front and back sews this one up (groan!).
