Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!
Welcome to the first day of previews for the latest (and totally FABULOUS) release from Taylored Expressions.
Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to the latest set in the TE Giving Tree collection, Cozy Cottages! Each time Taylor introduces a new set for the TE Giving Tree, it really makes me proud to design for a company that does so much for charity!
For the months of February, March and April when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support Habitat for Humanity.
Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem – decent housing for all. Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing, having built more than 350,000 houses, sheltering more than 1.75 million people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide. Please visit http://www.habitat.org/ for more information on this incredible charity. Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Habitat for Humanity for each Cozy Cottages stamp set sold in the next 3 months.
As with all the sets in the TE Giving Tree, this stamp set will come in one sheet and you simply need to cut and trim out the stamps. This allows Taylored Expressions to be able to donate more to charity.
This set is ADORABLE...I LOVE all the images and sentiments! For my project today, I created this DARLING (if I say so myself) frame using another new product that will be availabe @ Taylored Expressions, Darcie's Acrylic Frames! Now, those of you that frequent my blog may be aware that I am not the biggest "alterer" around, but I had SO much fun making this, and I plan on ordering oodles of them to create gifts.
Do you spy some new and AWESOME Taylored Dies on my project? That's right!!! I've used TWO new dies on my Home Sweet Home Frame, the Cloud Duo (LOVE) and the Picket Fence Border (LOVE).
All the patterned paper on my card is from Little Boy by Echo Park Papers. I created the "grassy hills" with the green polka dot pattern and stitched it on my sewing machine. I created the sky with a cloud template and then added the die cut clouds on top of that. I colored the house with Copic Markers, cut it out and popped it up, just like the clouds, with Foam Tape.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black right onto one of the "hills" and then added the picket fence along the bottom. It was SO fun and so easy to make!!!
Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this project:
Taylor is also releasing a DARLING coloring book created with images from Cozy Cottages! The Tiny Chefs have gotten in on this and Meredith had SO much fun coloring in her book! She used my Copic Markers to color and I cannot even believe what a FABULOUS job she did! (I know you are all gasping that I let her use my Copic Markers, but she is VERY good with them). Here is a picture of her with her colored page...this was her favorite page in the book!
Make sure to hop around and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have created with Cozy Cottages, and the new Taylored Dies, right here:
