Markers Down!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Here is a card I created for this week's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG100 - Markers Down!

This challenge is brought to us by the fabulous Kim, our Trendsetter of the Week. You all know how much I ADORE my Copics...so you can imagine my dismay when I saw what Kim had in store for this week. Well, I put on my big girl panties (lol) and pulled out my much neglected SU! inks and an Aquapainter and got to work.

I've long wanted to create a white on white card, and I thought this challenge was the perfect opportunity to do just that. I stamped the gorgeous sweet pea image from Sweet Pea (Currently on sale for just $5.95!!) from There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Classic White and watercolored it with my inks and Aquapainter. I then cut out and embossed the panel with Petite Oval Nestabilities.

I embossed another panel of Neenah Classic White with the Textile Embossing Folder and then matted it with yet another white panel. All of the layers were then popped up with foam tape on a white card base. Super dimensional but super simple. After attaching the focal panel, again with foam tape, I added five of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to either side of the panel. I love the simple elegance, with a pop of sparkle, these lend to any project.

We would LOVE for you to play along with us!! To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes no markers, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of the challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr 3rd). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities.

TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :) You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG100 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

High Maintenance!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!! Are you ready for another MFT Getting Sketchy Sketch? This week MFTWSC13 is up to bat!

Now, I realize that I always say how much fun I have making these cards, but really, for my card today, I giggled the entire time I was making it!! LOVE this á la mode from My Favorite Things, It Must Be Love, paired with this twisted sentiment from Twisted Foursome, also from My Favorite Things.

There were quite a few twisted sentiments that I thought would work, but I went with "High maintenance doesn't even begin to cover it". LOL! I LOVE it with this diamond toting gal! I stamped her, and the sentiment, on X Press It Blending Card AND colored her with Copic Markers. The patterned paper is Portrait from Crate Paper and I added a crystal flourish for an extra bit of bling. I also sewed all of the layers on my sewing machine.
I finished off the inside as well, this time stamping her in silhouette and adding another hysterical sentiment, "If you need me, I'll be on my pedestal". LOL!! I also used more of the same paper, some more stitching and another crystal flourish. I also colored just the diamond in her hands and added some shine with a Clear Glaze Pen (I did this to the diamond on the front too). Head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers and challenge team members that have worked with this fab sketch today! Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Recipe: Stamps: The á la modes in It Must Be Love from My Favorite Things

I Simply Adore You!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! I had a small window of time this weekend and was able to have some fun stamping time!!

I LOVE this Pure Innocence, Being Cute Is What I Do from My Favorite Things (currently being restocked) and I think she may just be my favorite one (I know...I say that about all of them!).

I used last week's Mojo Monday Sketch for the layout, MOJO183. It's been so long since I've used a MOJO Sketch...I forgot how much I LOVE them!

I had SO much fun making this card! I just LOVE the new Upcycle paper from Cosmo Cricket, and that is where I pulled my colors from. I colored this cutie pie with Copic Markers and paper pieced her shirt with one of the patterns from Upcycle. I embossed the Kraft background with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder. I am a tab obsessed with this Embossing Folder...can you tell?

For the sentiment panel, I cut a heart from the patterned paper with the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die and then stamped my sentiment on that. LOVE the look of that. I added a cardstock button that I created with the Die-Namics Button Quartet (another item I am obsessed with) and added some Baker's Twine through it.

I added a simple border with the Die-Namics Simply Scallops Die (love this border) and a Black Gingham Ribbon for a bit of pop. Tons of machine sewing complete this one! Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Welcome Little One!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

It's been a few days since I've posted. I have been hard at work gearing up for the MFT Release on the 1st...can't wait for you to see the new goodies!!

One of my dear friends welcomed a little boy last week. I made this card for her using the DARLING a la modes in Oh Baby! from My Favorite Things! I colored her with Copic Markers and the bow on the teddy bear was paper pieced with one of the patterns I used on my card, Stella & Rose Hattie, and I popped it up with Foam Tape.

I used this past week's Sketch Challenge on SCS for my layout, SC325. I must admit...this sketch was a real challenge (lol) for me...those triangular pieces were a pain! I really love how it came out though, so I am glad I pushed through it!

I opted to not put a sentiment on the front, but rather, added an embellishment created with the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die and the Die-Namics Button Quartet Die. I added a bit of Baker's Twine through the cardstock button.

For the inside, I stamped this cutie again, this time in Memento London Fog, and added the sentiment, "Welcome Little One". A simple border created with the Die-Namics Small Scallop Border Die, and of course, some more Baker's Twine, complete the card. I did add machine stitching to all the layers.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!

Today is the last day of previews for the newest release from There She Goes!

Did you make your way here from the amazing Jessie's Blog? If so, perfect! If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

The set we are sharing with you today, which is my personal favorite from this release, is brought to us by the amazing Torico! LOVE everything she creates!

I had SO much fun with this card...I seriously LOVE these gnomes and the sentiments in this set! The layout is this past Saturday's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS100. It was perfect for what I wanted to do!

I colored these cuties with Copic Markers, cut out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities and then drew in the frame with a Copic Multiliner. The patterned paper is For The Record from Echo Park Papers and I used some Die-namics from MFT for the border and flowers. White Candy Dots adorn the flower centers and are also an accent on the vertical panel. The sentiment, "Chillin' with my gnomies" has literally had me laughing out loud since I first saw this set.

TE Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

** This is my third post of the day! Please scroll down for my TSG Preview and my MFT Sketch Card. Thanks! **

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Welcome to the March Taylored Expressions Blast from The Past Blog Hop!! This month's theme is Spring...so you know I had to pull out Sweet Spring for some Cuppie love!!

I LOVE this stamp set, and this bunny cuppie is, by far, my favorite stamp in the set! I stamped this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him (her) with Copic Markers (the new colors...YUM!). (By the way, Taylor has the new colors individually and as a group at a fabulous price right HERE!).

I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities and drew in a frame with a Copic Multliner. The patterned paper is Springtime from Echo Park Papers. I created a border with the Small Scallop Border Die and the layered flowers were created with the Friendship Blooms Die (LOVE) and I added a button with some Baker's Twine in the center.

A simple bow, created with the Bow Easy, finishes this off, and the "Happy Easter" sentiment, also from Sweet Spring, is tucked underneath. All of the elements are popped up on Foam Tape for dimension.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today:

The first set up today is the HYSTERICAL Technology Bytes set! The sentiments in this set are OUT of control funny! I can't wait for you to see the entire set! For my card, I went with quite a true statement in my world, "Eat, Sleep, Blog", though it would be more true if it said Eat Stamp Blog...lol!!

I used the FABULOUS sketch from last week's TSG Challenge for the layout, TSG98. The patterned paper is Social Club from Cosmo Cricket. Love.

The second set we are sharing today is a gorgeous new set from Chris Dark, Tulip! What a beautiful set!

For my layout, I used last week's sketch on SCS, SC324. I thought it was perfect to showcase this beautiful flower. I kept this very simple and the patterned paper is Crate Paper Portrait. I colored the tulip with some of the new Copic colors...love!

I added some lace and twine, as well as some bling next to the sentiment to make it pop a bit!

Would you like a chance to win both Technology Bytes and Tulip? Getting that chance is super easy! Spread Your Wings & Fly

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is my card for this week's MFT Getting Sketchy Sketch, MFTWSC12! It's another fabulous layout!

I pulled out the super sweet Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses from My Favorite Things for this sketch. I just love this little cutie! I stamped her and then colored her with Copic Markers (LOVE the new Copic colors!!). Her wings were lightly colored and I then added glitter so that they are super shimmery.

All of the patterned paper is Upcycle from Cosmo Cricket (LOVE) and I just love it paired with some Kraft cardstock. Yum!

I went with a simple sentiment tab for the sentiment, "Spread Your Wings and Fly" and added TONS of stitching on my sewing machine. I added a simple border created with the Die-Namics Simply Scallops Border Die and a fun accent with the Die-Namics Butterflies Die (currently being restocked).

I added two crystals to the butterflies and one in this little cutie pie's hair and called the front done!

For the inside, I went with a simple patterned paper panel (still Upcycle from Cosmo Cricket), another border created with the Die-Namics Simply Scallops Die, and this time, used the sentiment, "Sending butterfly kisses". I added some crystals next to the sentiment to make it pop!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Today, the Trendsetters get to share an ADORABLE new set in the Whimsie Doodles line at There She Goes, Out of This World! What a DARLING new set...I had alot of fun with this one!! I started with the March SFYTT for my layout (you still have time to create a card with this sketch!).

I stamped this cutie onto X Press It Blending Card and colored him with Copic Markers. I added some shimmer to the spots on his alien costume with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen. I also used a Clear Glaze Pen for the alien eyes...LOVE them!!!

I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe. I drew in a frame with a Copic Multliner and added some Twinkles.

LOVE the sentiment..."Greetings Earthling" and I created a little flag for it and attached it with a faux moon I created with Circle Punches. I saw Lori Tecler do this and thought it was SUCH a fab idea!

Hunny Bunnies!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Here is a sweet creation I whipped up for this week's There She Goes Challenge, TSG98, which is this AWESOME sketch from our Trendsetter of the Week, the fabulous Danielle!

I had SO much fun with this sketch! I pulled out the newly released Good Times set from There She Goes (LOVE these sweet bunnies...that Torico is amazing!), and got to work!

I stamped the bunnies next to each other (they are two separate stamps) and then drew in grass to match under the girl bunny. I colored them with Copic Markers, cut out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities and then added a frame with a Copic Multiliner.

The patterned paper is Emma's Shoppe from Crate Paper and I sewed all of the layers on my sewing machine. I added some lace and a layered flower/button/twine combo as well as some White Candy Dots (LOVE these...gotta get some more!) and called it done! The sentiment is from Hunny Bunnies, also from There She Goes...so perfect with these cuties!

We would LOVE for you to play along! Here are the details:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Here is a little card I created to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Although I am (mostly) Italian, my hubby is 100% Irish...hmmm, perhaps I should have made corned beef & cabbage instead of a card :)

For my card, I used the adorable Pure Innocence 4 Leaf Clover (currently being restocked) from My Favorite Things and stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card.

I colored her with Copic Markers and cut and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities. Once again, I drew in a frame with a Copic Multliner. Oh! Before I forget...I just wanted to mention that my NEW favorite Copic for adding shading around an image is the new BG70. I LOVE it and used it on this card...you can see it's just a subtle shade around her.

Her shirt is paper pieced with the same paper I used on my card, Dutch Mustard from Jillibean Soup. I embossed the bottom panel with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and I added a crystal in the center of the shamrock on her shirt. I added a fun little detail with a die cut heart and button combo using the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty Die and the Die-Namics Button Quartet Die. The border was created with the Die-Namics Open Scallop Border (see...I CAN use something other than the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip...go me!).

I went SUPER simple with the inside of my card. I stamped this cutie again in silhouette with Chocolate Chip ink and then added the sentiment, "I'm lucky you're my friend". I colored the shamrock in with a Copic Marker and added another crystal to match the front. My layout is this past Saturday's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS99.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Thanks so much for stopping by! May the luck of the Irish be with you!!

Wish Big!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I know I say this every Wednesday, but I ♥ Wednesdays! A new MFT Sketch every week...can it get any better?

Here is this week's sketch, MFTWSC11:

For my card today, I started with some DELISH new papers, Emma's Shoppe from Crate Paper, and built my card from there. I thought that this darling Pure Innocence Believe In Magic would work with these papers, so I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers. I kept her shirt white so that it popped against her pink skirt.

I cut her out and popped her up on Foam Tape onto a panel of Kraft that I embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder. I stitched all the panels on my sewing machine and then added a soft pink ribbon, tied with Baker's Twine, underneath her to match the sketch.

The sentiment, "Wish Big", is also from Pure Innocence Believe In Magic, and I created a little flag for it and tucked it under her head. I added two white Candy Dots on the bottom right corner of this panel. The borders were created with the Die-Namics Dainty Lace Border Die...I thought the soft, delicate pattern was perfect with this little sweetie.

For the inside, I went with the same patterned paper and border, this time choosing the sentiment, "Wishing You A Fairy Good Day". More stitching on the inside completes the card.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of designers with a sample using this sketch today!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Have a Fairy Good Day!
