Thanks For The Smile!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Today I have a little CAS card that I created. This card has been floating around in my head (lol) for the past few days so I was excited to actually create it.

This is a SUPER simple card that measures 4.25 X 4.25. This is also for Heather's Totally Hues Challenge 2, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate.

I started with a Kraft card base (I just LOVE Kraft...can you believe that I only recently fell in love with it?) and using a Square Nestabilities Die, I placed it on my card and just traced around the inside and outside with a Copic Multiliner to create a frame.

I stamped the flower, which is from Flowers of Happiness from There She Goes, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Raspberry Fizz cardstock three times. I cut out different layers and popped them up on foam tape for tons of dimension. I colored the center flower a dark brown to represent the Dark Chocolate in the color challenge.

I LOVE this's from Sentimental Thank You, also from There She Goes. I am getting SO much use out of all the Sentimental sets (Sentimental, Sentimental Thank You and the newly released Sentimental Birthday). I just love them!

To represent the Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides in Heather's color challenge, I simply colored my rhinestones with Copic Markers...viola!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

  1. Hey, Jodi! Hope you are doing great! This is a fabulous CAS design! I love the floating image I got with your commentary. Ideas have to start somewhere! LOL Great design and a beautiful card!

  2. I just love this Jodi,Wish I'd seen it sooner,I butchered a CAS card I had in mind yesterday with an almost identical layout to this but with 2 punched hearts where your flower is. I stamped my greeting in the same position but couldn't work out where to go next,I tried embossing a line at the bottom, adding ribbon, then whilst moving the elements around I dropped an inkpad right in the middle,Eeeeeekkkkk, ended up in the bin! might give your layout a go if you dont mind me borrowing it :)??? I'd link it to you!
    Have a great day,Julie.x

  3. WOW Jodi girl this is sooo pretty, I too love kraft!!! Great added flower GF!!! Have a WONDERFUL Friday!!
