Time To Celebrate!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  You know what Wednesdays mean around here...another MFT Sketch Challenge!!!  Today, we are up to MFTWSC15!

This is SUCH a great sketch...lots of room for SO many different stamps and of course, Die-Namics!  I was asked to make a Birthday card for someone, and I thought that this sketch would be perfect with the á la modes, specifically, the á la modes in Time To Celebrate (currently being restocked).

This cake toting cutie was colored with Copic Markers, and I then cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities, drawing in a frame with my Copic Multliner.  I sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo.   I added some Espresso Dimensional Pearls onto the cake for a fudgy look.  Yum!

The patterned paper is Stella & Rose Gertie (shocking...I know) from My Minds Eye.  I seriously LOVE all the new MME paper pads...they are my favorites now for quite a while!  On either side of the center vertical panel I added borders with the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip Die.  I used the Die-Namics Say What Die (love this die!) and added in one of the sentiments from the á la modes in Time to Celebrate, "Time to Celebrate".

I have to tell you...I am a touch obsessed with the new Die-Namics Pretty Posies Die.  This cluster of flowers was created with this Die and some more of the same papers.  After cutting them out, I lightly sponged them with Memento Potters Clay.  The centers were cut twice and the top portion on each received a coating of Coffee Bean Sparkly Fluff.  The leaves were cut with the Die-Namics Flower and Leaf Trio.  I LOVE how this flower grouping came out!

For the inside, I added more of the same patterned paper, another border created with the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip, and then stamped this á la mode again, this time in Regal Rose ink.  I then added another sentiment over her, in Memento Tuxedo Black, "May all your wishes come true".  I did sew all the layers on both the front and inside with my sewing machine.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
