You Helped Me Grow and Learn!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!

My little Meredith graduates from preschool today, and of course, I had to quick whip up some cards for her teachers (obviously thinking ahead isn't on my resume).  I pulled out two FABULOUS sets from Taylored Expressions and got to work!

I started my card (I made two of these) by stamping the report card from Make The Grade twice, once in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream, and once onto a piece of Kraft cardstock.  I then cut them both out, cutting the Buttercream panel out on the inside line, and layered them together.  I used a Red Spica Glitter Pen and wrote in her teacher's name, her grades (grin) and thank you.  I sewed this layer on my sewing machine.

All of the patterned paper is Social Club from Cosmo Cricket, and I stamped the sentiments, "You helped me" and "grown and learn" from Extra Credit directly onto the top left corner of the patterned paper.  I then stamped "You're an awesome teacher!", also from Extra Credit, on the bottom right corner.  I added a border with the Medium Scallop Border Die under the polka dot panel, and sewed all the layers on my sewing machine.  After attaching the report card with Foam Tape, I added a layered flower, also using Social Club papers, which I cut using the Friendship Blooms Dies.  I added a button in the center to finish it off!
