It's week 28 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fun sketch for you this week!
We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.
Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC28 for a chance to win this weeks prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, July 19 to play along. Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.
Here is this week's sketch:
I thought this sketch was PERFECT for the new Sew Nifty (currently being restocked) set from My Favorite Things (and it seems I am not the only one that thought that...if you check out some of the other designers blogs you will see what I mean! LOL).
All of the patterned papers on my card are from the Blissful Collection from Authentique Papers. I was SO excited when I saw the rulers on one of the patterns, and they were just perfect for the two horizontal panels! Using Fossil Cardstock and the new Sew Nifty Die-Namics, I cut out the dress form (love) and popped it up on some Jody Boosters (also love).
I also cut out the spool and scissors with the Sew Nifty Die-Namics and added some yellow Baker's Twine around the spool, adorned with a needle (ala Jody) and hung the scissors off too! LOVE that! The sentiment, "You're A Stitch" was cut out with the File Tab Die-Namics and stitched to the panel. I added two black brads to the focal panel and of course, stitching!
For the inside, some more patterned paper and stitching keeps it simple, along with another sentiment from Sew Nifty, "Friendships Are Sewn One Stitch At A Time".
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers working with this sketch today!
