There are SO many new sets being peeked today, and I am THRILLED to be able to share with you my most favorite set of this release, and to date, my most favorite Moka...Moka Tabitha!  ACK!  LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!!  She is the latest in the Moka Collection which is illustrated by Nancy McKinney...they just don't get any cuter!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  The patterned paper is all from Spookville from We R Memory Keepers.  LOVE the colors in these papers.  I cut out a circle of black cardstock that I impressed with the new (and awesome) Spooky Impression Plate (love).

The bats were cut with the new Tiny Toppers Dies.  I am not quite sure if they are bats are holly leaves...but they could be both!  Bonus!  I kept the sentiment treatment simple, and stamped "Spooky and Sweet", cut it into a little tag and tucked it under the focal panel.  I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to both my circle panel and to the bats...of course, using Embellie Gellie to get them just where I wanted them!

I added a border with the Small Scallop Border Die and the impressed circle and focal panel are popped up with Foam Tape for some dimension.

Here are the Taylored Dies and Impression Plate I've used on my card:

You're A Stitch!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  It's week 35 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC35!

I'm sure it's no surprise when I tell you that this card was so fun to make!  I pulled out Sew Nifty from My Favorite Things and got to work!  I started by stamping the dress form in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Fossil Cardstock.  I then paper pieced it with one of the patterns I used on the rest of my card, which is all from Lost and Found 2/Breeze from My Minds Eye.

The layered flower was created with the Pretty Posies Die-Namics (one of my favorites!) and I added a Maya Road wood button in the center tied with some twine.  I added a little border under the focal panel with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics, and the sentiment, "You're A Stitch" was stamped onto a panel that I cut out with the File Tab Die-Namics.  I used some crocheted lace for the two diagonal panels and added tons of machine stitching.

The inside is uber layered and sewn, and I added a panel with another sentiment from Sew Nifty, "May your bobbin always be full", which I love!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC35 for a chance to win this weeks prize. You have until noon Tuesday, September 6 to play along.  Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a list of the designers working with this sketch today!

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  Welcome to the first day of MFTeasers for the September release from My Favorite Things!  We have SO much in store for you for the next few days!

We are kicking off MFTeasers with the newest in the WTG lineup...meet Who's That Mummy?  LOVE her!  This set has the funniest sentiments!  I started with a sketch from The Sweet Stop from two weeks or so ago, SSS122.  I stamped her a few times as I wanted to paper piece the background.  All of the patterned paper is Mischievious from My Minds Eye.

Over the horizontal panel I added some fun webbed ribbon that I picked up at my LSS.  It's hard to see, but I added a tag using the Notched Tag Die-Namics and Stamp Set under my bow with a "boo" sentiment.  Some black brads finish off the front, along with a border created with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, another border cut with the Simply Scallops Medium Die, and some more black brads.  I added another sentiment, "Who's Your Mummy".  Lol.  That cracks me up every time!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Today, I have two sets to share with you...but they both share a common factor.  Both cards use the Spooky Project Pantry, which I ADORE!!!  The patterned paper is Apothecary Emporium from Echo Park Papers...LOVE!!!

First up today is a FABULOUS new set called Toil and Trouble!  This set was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expresssions and has everything you need to create a spooky scene!  This set works AWESOME with the previously released Apothecary Shelf A La Carte, which I have used also here on my card today.

I started by stamping the Apothecary Shelf A La Carte in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock (this paper comes in the Spooky Project Pantry Kit) and colored it with Copic Markers.  I then stamped the spiderweb draping fom Toil and Trouble over the shelf.  LOVE how it "spookifies" it!  I added some creepy accessories to the top...a beaker of eyeballs, a skull and a pumpkin, and colored them all with Copic Markers as well.  I gave the beaker a coating of Glossy Accents.  I stamped the spider a bit down from the shelf and, using a Copic Multliner, just drew in the the web string he is "hanging" from.  SO much fun!

As I said above, all the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon (oh...the ribbon is DELISH) are from the Spooky Project Pantry Kit.  Taylor is doing something a little different this month with the Project Pantry. As you know, the idea behind the Project Pantry is that when you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients. When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements. We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes. This month we are offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.

The Spooky Project Pantry Basic Recipe Kit is $11.95 and includes:

Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad
10 sheets of 8.5" x 11" cardstock in coordinating colors
6 yards of ribbon (2 yards each of 3 different styles)

Optional Spice it Up Ingredients (choose any or all) are:

Black Sparkly Fluff
Black/White Enamel Accents
Orange Rhinestones
Black Pearls
Halloween Button Assortment
Spooky Cardstock Pack
Spooky Ribbon Bundle

When you go to the Spooky Project Pantry in the store you will see the optional items linked under the Basic Recipe kit, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to add to your cart. We know you'll have fun customizing your kit!

Since my spooky shelf took up the majority of the front of my card, I decorated the inside as well.  I really wanted to use this AWESOME "Happy Halloween" sentiment...love the decorative elements on either side.  I also added some more patterned paper as well as a border cut with the Small Scallop Border Die.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

Next up I have a sweet little Favor Box that I decorated with the new Fangtastic set.  OMG...I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ADORABLE new set!  It's the latest set illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions and contains an AMAZING haunted house and the cutest little trick or treaters you've ever seen!

I used the Take Note 3 Die to cut out a piece of patterned paper from the Spooky Project Pantry Kit and used that as my base.  I stamped this ADORABLE vampire (the only other adorable vampire I know is Edward...wink wink) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I then "fussy cut" him out and popped him up with Foam Tape onto the base panel.  I stamped the sentiment, "Have A Fangtastic Halloween", also from Fangtastic, and cut it out and popped it up under the vampire.  I added a ribbon wrapped around the Favor Box and created a bow with the Bow Easy.  This yummy ribbon is from the Spooky Project Pantry Kit as well!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this Favor Box:

MFT Creative Chat - Dienamics Storage!

MFT has come up with a new monthly feature and we think it's something you'll really enjoy. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a new monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:

How do you store and organize your Die-namics?
Any fun or helpful Die-namics purchasing strategies you'd like to share?
How do you store extra Die-namics die-cuts?

Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team!

OMG.  How FUN is this?  I am SO in love with this new monthly feature!  I LOVE to organize my supplies almost as much as I LOVE buying them!!  I think it's part of this stamping sickness!!!

Here is a glimpse into my Die-Namics storage and organization!!!  I use Sterilite storage boxes that I purchased at Target.  I currently have three in use and one more put away for future Die-Namics storage needs (see...sickness).  In this first picture you can see all three storage containers along with my extra die-cut storage (which I just made!!) on top.

I have my Die-Namics separated into the following groups, and you can see in this next picture that each drawer has a tag, created with the Notched Tag Die-Namics out of Fossil Cardstock, listing it's contents:

7. Rolled Flowers (such as Rolled Roses Die-Namics, Rolled Daisy Die-Namics, Rolled Retro Flower Die-Namics, etc. I also keep my quilling tool in this drawer to assist with rolling)

Here is a close up of some of the drawer tags.  They are all tied onto the drawer pulls with Pink Sorbet Twine.

Here is a close up of one of my drawers...this one is the Doily drawer and you can see that I just lay them in...no rhyme or reason in the drawers themselves.

Here you can see how I label my Die-Namics.  My Favorite Things has SUCH a huge offering of Die-Namics, so as soon as I get new ones in my collection, I label them with my trusty P-touch labeler.  As you can see, I generally keep all my attached Die-Namics together.  The only exception to this rule is the Doily Duo Die-Namics.  I separate those as they are larger and easier to use when separated.

Here is how I store my extra Die-Namics die cuts. Now...I must be honest. Until preparing for this post, I simply put my extra die-cuts in this tin. I decorated it especially for this post and I LOVE how it came out! The perfect addition to my stamp room!

I started with some delish new papers from My Minds Eye, Blush.  I then stamped this uber sweet Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses (one of my favorites), colored her with Copic Markers and then cut her out.  I paper pieced her outfit with some of the same papers.

I die cut a piece of gray cardstock with the High Tea Doily Die-Namics and added it to my card.  I then cut it down to the card size and rounded all the corners.  I added three black brads to one side and tucked a tag that I created with one of the banner dies from the First Place Award Die-Namics, stamped with the Typewriter Alphabet, to read "die+cuts".

Here is a look inside.  I usually amasss quite a stash of extra die-cuts when working on a project, so I tuck them away just in case I need to use them again on another project.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this project (both the storage tags and my tin):

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  I hope you've enjoyed this glimpse into my stamp room!!  I can hardly wait to check out how the other girls store their Die-namics Dies!!  MFTeasers start tomorrow night...hope to see you back then!!

I am SO very excited to share two new sets with you today!  First up, Build A Treat and Build A Treat Borders!!  My card mostly features Build A Treat Borders, but the sentiment is from Build A Treat!

Build A Treat and Build A Treat Borders are an adorable idea concepted by Sankari Wegman!  These sets, separately or together, give you endless opportunities for building sweet treats, borders and embellishments!  These were both illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expressions, AND, both sets have coordinating dies!  Yippee!

Like all other stamps offered at Taylored Expressions, these are made from top-quality deeply etched rubber in a cute shade of pink and come on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to used with your acrylic blocks!  You'll want to be sure to pickup some of the FABULOUS Mini Binder Boxes this release too...each one holds four full sized sets.  I have ALL of my Taylored Expressions sets in these...I love to see them all lined up.

For my card today, I let Build A Treat Borders, and the coordinating Build A Treat Border Dies, do all the work on this card.  I stamped the row of cupcakes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and then cut them out with the Build A Treat Border Dies.  I colored them with Copic Markers, using the colors of the papers, which are the delish Happy Days from Echo Park Papers (love).  I cut a circle of one of the patterns with Classic Circle Nestabilities and then added three buttons scattered about.  The sentiment, "For my favorite Lil' Cupcake" is from Build A Treat and I stamped it and cut it into a little flag.  I finished up with tons of machine stitching and black brads.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this card:

My second card today features It's Your Birthday A La Carte, illustrated by Nancy McKinney!  I LOVE all of these A La Carte stamps, and this one is just PERFECT for those last minute Birthday cards!

For my card, I stamped this image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored the balloons and stars with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the "Birthday", which was a bit time consuming, but I really like the result.  All of the patterned paper is Happier from My Minds Eye...LOVE.  Taylored Expressions has all of the new My Minds Eye 6X6 pads...score!

It's hard to tell, but I separated the two different base patterns of patterned paper with cardstock cut from the Small Scallop Border Die.  I added a bow created with The Bow Easy, and added a floral embellishment to it, cut from these patterned papers using the Bugabee Flowers Die.  More stitching and some white brads finish this one off!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:
