MFTeasers: Day Three!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!!  Today is the 3rd day of MFTeasers...can I get a Woot?

Today I have a card to share with you using this month's Triple Scoop set, the gorgeous Clearly Sentimental About Abundance.  L.O.V.E.

Here are the deets about the Triple Scoop Special:

*Our Triple Scoop reward is a full-sized stamp set offered to you absolutely free with a qualifying purchase of $60 or greater (before shipping and tax).
*The set changes with each monthly release, and is not yet available for individual purchase, so there is always a good reason to spoil yourself with MFT!
*Simply add the Triple Scoop product to your cart using the "add to cart" button, and it will be shipped with your order.
*Digital products are excluded and do not count toward your purchase for rewards.
*You must add the Triple Scoop product to your cart or it will not be included with your order.

For my card today, I used this week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS127.  All of the patterned paper is Farmhouse from Crate Paper.  I stamped the sentiment onto a Kraft panel and then added lots of layers.  The flowers were created with the new Rolled Gardenia Die-Namics and were cut from My Favorite Felt in Blue Skies, which is a perfect match to this patterned paper (love that!).  I added a silver brad in the center of each flower as well as a row of three on the bottom as per the sketch.

For the inside, I added another sentiment from the set (they are all so uplifting...they make me happy), along with some more patterned paper and a border cut with the Postage Stamp Border Die-Namics (swoon!).  A few more brads to tie it into the front of the card finish it off.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!  Welcome to Day 2 of MFTeasers!!

Today, I have a card featuring the newest Fred Bear set!  Fred Bear and the Megaphone!  LOVE him!!!

I started with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS for my layout, SC352 (awesome sketch...you know I love lots of layers!).  I stamped Fred and then cut him out with Rectangle Nestabilities, taking care to keep his megaphone "out of the box".  He is colored with Copic Markers and I then added some texture by adding Colorless Blender to a paper towel and then dabbing his "fur".  Love the little extra that gives to him.

I used two sentiments from this new set on the front.  First I stamped "Hello?" onto a panel cut with the File Tab Die-Namics, which I shortened using Joanne's FABULOUS tip HERE (total genius no?).  The other sentiment, "Is this thing on?" was stamped onto a panel that I cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  To get the words to line up, I simply cut my stamp (yes...with scissors...lol).  Easy peasy.
I finished up with a panel embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder as well as three paper buttons cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics out of Sno Cone and Hot Fudge Cardstock.  I then added Cappucino Twine to give it a little oomph.  Two silver brads finish off the front.

The inside is super simple.  I added some more patterned paper, which is all Homemade 6 Bean Soup from Jillibean Soup, and added another sentiment from Fred Bear and the Megaphone, "Thank You" onto a layered panel cut with the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

I Toadally Miss You...and Blog Candy!!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!  It's week 39 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fun sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC39!

What a fun sketch!  I had a lot of fun putting this card together!  I started by stamping this darling Pure Innocence Toadally Froggy in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I then cut her out, and did the same with her little froggy friend.

Using Hot Fudge Cardstock I cut out the awesome fence using the Woodgrain Fence Die-Namics (love).  The texture that you achieve with this Die-Namics Die is fabulous!  After attaching the fence, I popped up this little gal and her pal with Foam Tape.

All of the patterned paper is Darling Dear from My Minds Eye, and the sentiment, "I Toadally Miss You" was stamped onto a panel cut with the Say What? Die-Namics.  I added three vintage brads and again, opted not to sew.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, and stamped another sentiment onto my Sno Cone Cardstock, "Hope Your Day Is As Happy As Happy Gets".  I added a border cut with the Small Scallop Border Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

And now...how about some blog candy?  I have a Pure Innocence Feeling Froggy AND a Woodgrain Fence Die-Namics that need a good home (smile).  Just leave me a comment here (make sure you leave me a method to contact you should you be the winner) and I will randomly choose one winner to receive these two amazing MFT products!!  You have until next Tuesday, October 4, to leave a comment, and I will announce the winner here next Wednesday, October 5!

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!!

Welcome to the first day of MFTeasers for the latest and greatest My Favorite Things release!  WOOT!!

Today, we are sharing the newest WTG set, Who's That Girl Chooses Hope!!  LOVE this set...I ADORE when WTG is in a circle!!

For my card, I started with an older SFYTT sketch.  All of the patterned paper is A Happy Heart from My Minds Eye and I used the yellow chevron pattern to paper piece her dress.  The rest of her is colored with Copic Markers.  I cut her out with Circle Nestabilities and then layered her over a panel cut with the Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-Namics.

I am not sure if you can see it so well in the photo, but under the horizontal panel, I added a border with the new Postage Stamp Border Die-Namics.  LOVE.  The sentiment, "Thinking of You" was stamped onto a panel that I cut with the new Oval Tab Die-Namics (swoon!).  I finished off the front with a bow and two silver brads.

On the inside, I added some more patterned paper, another border cut with the Postage Stamp Border Die-Namics, and another sentiment, "Once You Choose Hope, Anything is Possible", is framed with the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics.  I opted to not sew on this card...my machine is acting a bit wonky.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

September MFT Creative Chat!

It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:

How do you store and organize your card stock?
How do you store your scrap card stock?

Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team!
I have two different methods of storing my cardstock, depending upon the brand.  For the cardstock I reach for most often, I use a fabulous paper holder that I purchased from my SU! Upline back when I was a demo.  This is a great paper tower as the shelves are removable, so you can customize the size of the towers.

You can see through the clear shelves that my paper tower is against a wall of stamps.  These are stamps that I have had forever, and never ever even touch.  If I had to get to them, my paper tower is on wheels so I can just wheel it out of the way.

Here is a closeup of some of the shelves.  As you can (hopefully) see, I keep the full sheets on the bottom and then just put any scraps right on top.  That way, when I need a piece of cardstock, I can search through the scraps first.  I used to have the shelves labeled with the names of the cardstock, but as I kept getting more, it was frustrating to keep moving the labels.  I keep my colors in ROYGBIV order, so instead of labeling the shelves, I created a little cardstock color keeper for each brand of cardstock that I have.

I keep my SU! cardstock in a file cabinet, and each color has it's own folder.  I keep full sheets, as well as scraps, in each folder.

Here is the cardstock ring I created for all my MFT cardstock.  I simply cut out each color using Nestabilities, labeled them with my P Touch, added a hole with my Cropadile and added them to a ring.  This is a great way for me to keep track of what colors I have, as well as an easy way to match my colors to patterned paper.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!  I can hardly wait to go visit the other girls on the team and see how they organize!  Isn't it fun to get a glimpse inside other peoples stamp rooms?  LOVE it!!

By Lori Designs 1st Birthday Hop!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday!

I am so very excited to be hopping along to help celebrate the one year Birthday of By Lori Designs!

Did you come here from  The By Lori Designs Blog?  If so, perfect..it's the beginning of the hop!

For my card today, I used the utterly ADORABLE Witchy Prue from By Lori Designs.  Isn't she SUPER cute?  You know I have a love of all things Halloween and witchy!  I printed her out and colored her, and her little kitty friend, with Copic Markers.

The layout is Jen's Deconstruced Sketch, DS19, which I LOVE.  All of the patterned paper is Too Cute To Spook from Bella Boulevard, and the Grape Jelly cardstock was impressed with the Spooky Impression Plate from Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment, Hello, My Pretty, is from Pure Innocence Little Witch from My Favorite Things, and I stamped it onto cardstock cut out with the Ticket Tab Die-Namics, also from My Favorite Things.  I added three black brads and a black saddle stitch ribbon/bow combo and called it done!

Time to send you off to Hannah's Blog (seriously, could she be any more adorable???)

In case you get lost along the way, here is the order of the hop today!

Sheri

When Someone You Love Becomes A Memory...

Hi everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

It's week 38 of our WSC Getting Sketchy and we have another fabulous sketch for you this week...meet MFTWSC38

I needed to make a sympathy card.  I am not going to lie...it totally sucks that I needed this card.  I wanted to keep this rather simple, so I pulled out the beautiful Cleary Sentimental About Sympathy set.  It has gorgeous sentiments and the sentiment I chose to use, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" was exactly what I wanted to say.

All of the patterned paper is A Beautiful Life from My Minds Eye, and I cut Fossil Cardstock with the First Class Friend Die-Namics and used the center portion of the large die for the focal panel for my sentiment.  I cut out a heart using the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics out of some of the same patterned paper, and adorned it quite simply with a button cut from Cork using the Button Quartet Die-Namics tied with a bit of twine.  I used a piece of crocheted lace as the horizontal panel and added some zig zag machine stitching.

On the inside, I kept it super simple again with some more patterned paper, and a simple sentiment panel which reads "You Are In My Thoughts".

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. Taylored Expressions September Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!  Welcome to the September Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!  This month, our theme is Birthday/Birth Day, and I've used the following sketch designed by our very own Sankari!

I decided to go a bit more elegant with my card this month...I usually go with a more cutesy vibe.  I started with the gorgeous Discover Your Wings set from Taylored Expressions, and stamped the flowers in Versamark and embossed them with Black Embossing Powder onto a piece of patterned paper.  All of the patterned paper on my card is the gorgeous Blush from My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2.  Love.

For the circle element, I cut a circle of a different Blush pattern with Circle Nestabilities and layered it with black cardstock cut with Scallop Circle Nestabilities.  I die cut a butterfly with the Butterflies Dies and added Latte Pearls in the center.

For the sentiment, I stamped the frame and "birthday Wishes", both from It's A Banner Day 1 onto more patterned paper and then cut it out with the Banner Day 1 Die.  To create the layer, I placed the die unto a piece of Black Cardstock, traced around it with a pencil and then cut it out.  I LOVE the layered look.

For the two corner panels, I used the From The Heart Frame Die and cut the patterned paper.  I added the layer of black the same way I mentioned above, and then added them to the corners.  Three more larger Latte Pearls finish this one off, and I popped up all the elements with Foam Tape.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

MFT WTG VIP New Product Tour!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to the MFT WTG VIP New Product Tour!  The newest VIP Kit is available for purchase right HERE in the MFT Boutique!!  This is a limited quantity product and gives you the opportunity to get your hands on the newest WTG set two weeks before it is released!

Who's that Girl Chooses Hope stamp set
Choose Hope Sentiments mini (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE)
Rolled Gardenia Die-namics Die

This set is just FABULOUS.  The sentiments are SO uplifting.  For my card, I started with the September SFYTT for the layout.  All of the patterned paper is Vanity Fair from My Minds Eye.  I stamped the image of the two woman together (there are two WTG images in this set) and colored them with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced both of their shirts with some of the same patterns I used on my card.  I used one of the patterns to create the flower using the AMAZING new Rolled Gardenia Die-Namics (swoon) and I adorned the center with a pearl.

I rounded some of the edges with the Corner Chomper, embossed the Fossil panel with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and then added lots of stitching.  The sentiment, "You are courageous" is from the Choose Hope Sentiments Mini set, which is ONLY available with the purchase of the VIP kit.  This mini set will not be available ever again, and believe me, you want it...the sentiments are AMAZING.  I stamped the sentiment on a panel that I cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.

For the inside I added some more patterned paper, and added another sentiment from the Choose Hope Sentiments Mini set, "We don't know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have".  LOVE that...so inspiring no?  I stamped it onto a panel cut and layered with the Layered Label Die-Namics.  The card base is Cotton Candy Cardstock, which is the perfect match to these patterned papers!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
