Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! Today is Day Four of MFTeasers...are you loving all the peeks so far? Have you seen the new My Favorite Things website? Oh.My.Word. It is SO awesome!!!
I have two different MFTeasers for you today. First up is the AWESOME new Contempo Cage Die-Namics and Stamp Set! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I started with my friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC136. LOVE this sketch...it was perfect for what I had in mind (thanks Karen!). All of the patterned paper is from Breeze by My Minds Eye. Using the new Contempo Cage Die-Namics, I die cut the birdcage from Smokey Shadow Cardstock, and the birds from the Breeze patterned paper. I added Black Baby Braddies for the birds eyes, and their wings were popped up with Jody Boosters.
Using the Button Quartet Die-Namics (I think this is my most used Die-Namics Die!), I die cut three buttons, two from cardstock and one from patterned paper, and threaded them with Twill Tape and Twine. The sentiment, "A Little Birdie Told Me..." was stamped onto a patterned paper panel that I cut with the smallest banner die in the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics. The layered circles under the sentiment were cut with the circle dies from both the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics and the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics. LOVE how they layer so perfectly.
For the inside, I added some more patterned paper and finished off the sentiment with "Congratulations Are In Order" and it is stamped and layered using the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics and Framed Greetings Die-Namics. This card is going to dear friends of ours that finally got engaged!
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:
Next up is the FAB new Bon Appetit Die-Namics and Stamp Set!! The second I saw this set I knew I wanted to make a set of tags to add to boxes of Christmas cookies this season!
I started by cutting four tags out of Kraft Cardstock using the Tag You're It Die-Namics. I then added some patterned paper, Peppermint from Crate Paper, and added a border with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics. I cut out the jars with the Bon Appetit Die-Namics and stamped the edge around them. I then cut them out again using the red patterned paper, which I then trimmed with my paper snips in a wavy line. I added these to the tops of my jars to mimic the look of fabric covered jars. I then wrapped the tops with some Peapod Green Twine.
Once all the jars were assembled, I attached them to ovals cut with the oval from Well Worn Greetings Die-Namics. I then layered them onto red cardstock cut with the largest die in the Sweet Stack Labels Die-Namics. Using the green patterned paper, I cut out the little oven mitts with the Bon Appetit Die-Namics and added them to the bottom of the jars. A bit more Peapod Green Twine on the top and they were done! I can't even wait to add them to some yummy cookies!
Here is a closeup of one of the tags...love that little oven mitt!
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
