Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! 11-11-11...pretty cool don't you think?
I have a card to share with you today using one of the new Moka sets from Taylored Expressions, Moka Morgana! I didn't have a chance to use her during Taylored Expressions peeks, and she was just begging to be inked!!
I started with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC358 for the layout. My oval panel is a bit bigger than the sketch calls for in order to accommodate my image. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I added some Crystal Glitter to her dance skirt for a shimmery look.
I cut her out with Petite Oval Nestabilities, and while the cardstock was still in the die, I traced around the inside edge with a Copic Multliner to create the frame. I had a little "oops", but I covered it up with two of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. Just proves the saying...there are no mistakes, just embellishment opportunities!
The patterned paper is all Vanity Fair from My Minds Eye, and I impressed the background panel with the Lots of Dots Taylored Impression Plate. All of the panels were sewn on my Janome Sew Mini and the sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is from Moka Katie, also recently released from Taylored Expressions. I added it to my card and then added two more of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to anchor it to my card, of course, using Embellie Gellie to make adding them to the glue a breeze. I finished off the card with a big bow of Carnation Pink Silk Ribbon (it's SO delish) and then popped up the panels with Foam Tape.
Here is the Taylored Impression Plate I've used on my card:
