MFTeasers: Day Four!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!  Today is Day 4 of MFTeasers!  Woot!

I have a card to share with you today using the UBER fun new At The Movies and the At The Movies Die-Namics!   This set is SO much fun to use, and it makes it super easy to create a card!

I decided to make a lovey dovey card today, and all of the patterned paper is Love Me from My Minds Eye.  I started by cutting the focal panel with the At The Movies Die-Namics and stamped "True Love Stories Never End" in Memento Tuxedo Black, except for the "Love", which I stamped in Ladybug Red.  I then stamped some of the numbers, 6,7,8 & 9 in London Fog ink.  The Buttercream panel was popped up with Foam Tape and I traced over the red "Love" with a Spica Glitter Pen for added shimmer and fun.

I used the previously released Mini Film Strip Die-Namics for the border on the side, and cut the heart using My Favorite Felt in Cherry On Top and the heart from the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics.  I then cut the camera and clapper using the At The Movies Die-Namics.  They are SO fun!  I added lots of stitching as well as a ribbon/bow combo.

For the inside, I added another sentiment from this fun new set, "I "Really" Love You, and then added a die cut reel cut with the At The Movies Die-Namics.  Some more of the same patterned paper and stitching complete the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Perpetual Occassions Calendar - March & April!

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY MFTEASER POST.  THANKS **

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday!!

I have been working on my Perpetual Occassions Calendar from Taylored Expressions, and I am excited to get two more months completed!  This calendar is my saving grace...it has a place on honor in my stamp room, right over where I keep my cards, so each month I can pull out the cards I need.  LOVE that!  An organized way to actually send out my cards?  Sign me up!

You may remember THIS POST where I shared my January and February pages.  I am using the same suite of stamps for the entire calendar, A Year of Sweets 1, A Year of Sweets 2 and A Year of Sweets 3 from Taylored Expressions.  Love me some Cuppie.

First up is my March page.  I LOVE this Irish Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 1.  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black and then created a mask and masked him off.  I used my Copic Airbrush System with B000 and airbrushed in the sky.  I then took off my mask and colored the rest of the image with Copic Markers.
I added some stitching as well as three shamrocks cut with the Tiny Toppers Taylored Dies.  Love these cuties!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this page:

My next page is my April page.  Once again, I used a darling image from A Year of Sweets 1, and stamped Cuppie stamped and airbrushed the sky the same way I did the page above.  After coloring this sweet image with Copic Markers, I again adding stitching, and this time, three clouds cut with the Cloud Duo Taylored Dies.  I also added some shimmer with Spica Glitter Pens.   I always use Foam Tape to pop up my panels for dimension!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this page:

MFTeasers: Day Three!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday!  TGIF!

Today is day Three of MFTeasers...and I am sharing this month's Triple Scoop Set with you!  Before I start squealing about this new set (and I will!), here are the details about the Triple Scoop Promotion:

Our Triple Scoop reward is a full-sized stamp set offered to you absolutely FREE with a qualifying purchase of $60 or greater (before shipping and tax).
The set changes with each monthly release, and is not yet available for individual purchase, so there is always a good reason to spoil yourself with MFT!

- Simply add the Triple Scoop product to your cart using the "add to cart" button, and it will be shipped with your order.
- The Triple Set set can be combined with our Cherry on Top promotion as well for even greater savings!

OK...ready for the squealing?  This month's Triple Scoop set is Clearly Sentimental About Romance...and my most favorite of all the sentiments/quotes in this set is the one I used today...you guessed it...it's an Edward quote...swooooon!!

I kept my card super simple and really let this gorgeous quote, "Look after my heart.  I've left it with you" - Edward Cullen, do all the work.  I stamped the quote onto a panel cut with the oval die from the Well Worn Greetings Die-Namics and layered it over a panel cut with the new Oval Decorative Doily Duo Die-Namics (the larger one of the two), which I ADORE.  These are sized so beautifully for quotes...they make me happy!

I went with classic Twilight colors, red, white & black, and the gorgeous patterned paper is from Yours Truly from Echo Park Papers.  The white panel up top was embossed with the Textile Embossing Folder for some added texture.  I added two pearls (which are mostly covered up by my cute lil' watermark) and a gorgeous big red satin ribbon.  This would be tough to get into an envie with this ribbon...but since this baby is going right onto my Twilight shelf, that's not a problem!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Thursday!!

Today is the second day of MFTeasers and I am super excited to share with you the most DARLING Flopsey yet (in my opinion!!)...Bunch Of Hearts Flopsey!  LOVE him!!

I started with the December SFYTT for my layout, and all of the patterned papers are from the Paper Heart Collection from Crate Paper.  I colored Flopsey with Copic Markers and then fussy cut him out and popped him up onto a patterned paper panel.  It's hard to see in the photo but I did add some shimmer to the hearts he is holding with assorted Spica Glitter Pens.

For the circle panel in the sketch, I used the AMAZING new Layered Hearts Die-Namics.  I seriously LOVE these new Die-Namics...they are such a fabulous size and really make a statement on a card!  I cut the smaller heart out of patterned paper and the larger heart from Kraft cardstock and then layered them together.  The sentiment, "I Love You" was stamped onto a panel cut with the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics, which you know I adore.  I finished the front off with tons of stitching along with a ribbon/bow combo.

The inside has some more patterned paper, and I stamped Flopsey, this time in Riding Hood Red Ink, and added another sentiment from this darling new set, "Sending Bunches Of Love".  Lots more stitching and the inside was complete.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

You're So Tweet {MFTWSC52}!

It's week 52 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. This is our last sketch of 2011!  Meet MFTWSC52!

My stash of Birthday cards has, once again, been seriously depleted.  I decided to bulk up my stash using this week's fabulous sketch!  I pulled out one of my most favorite Pure Innocence sets, Pure Innocence You're So Tweet, and got to work.

She is colored with Copic Markers and her dress was paper pieced with the same patterns I used on my card, Head Over Heels from Lily Bee Design.  I added the scallop border using the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics, and the sentiment, "You're So Tweet" was stamped onto a panel cut with the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics.  The double heart was cut with both the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics and the Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics.  I added three silver brads under the flag panel.

I kept the inside super simple with some more patterned paper, stamped this cutie again, and added another sentiment, "Happy Bird-Day".

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  Today is the first day of MFTeasers!  WOOT!!!

I am SO super excited to share the newest set in the Who's That Girl lineup at My Favorite Things, Who's That Parisian Girl?  Oooh la la!  She is SO very fabulous!!!

I started with last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC364 for the layout, and all of the patterned paper is Yours Truly from Echo Park Papers.  WTG is colored with Copic Markers and her skirt was paper pieced with one of the patterns.

I added a super fun accent with the new Eiffel Tower Die-Namics (love), and a border with the FABULOUS new Jumbo Monarch Border Die-Namics.  I added a pink Candy Dot to the border for added fun.  The circles were cut with Circle Nestabilities and layered on top of a panel cut with the Decorative Doily Die-Namics.

The sentiment, "Bonjour" was stamped onto a panel cut with one of the new Mini Wavy Pennant Die-Namics, and the base of the pennant was cut with the Mini Pennants Die-Namics. A pretty pleated ribbon, some twine, and silver brads complete the front.

For the inside I added some more patterned paper, another border cut with the Jumbo Monarch Border Die-Namics, as well as another sentiment from this fabulous new set, "Paris Is Always A Good Idea".

MFT Creative Chat - Embellishments!

It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:

Show us how you store your embellishments.
What are your absolute favorite embellishments?
Any tips or tricks on how to use embellishments on stamped creations?

Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team.

I use two Craftsman rolling tool chests in my stamp room to store all sorts of stuff.  Here is a look at the one that is to my direct left when I am stamping.  You can see that I have my Big Shot on top, along with a basket that holds my embossing folder, a Stack & Store Holder as well as my Stampin' Scrub.

Here is a peek into the top drawer in this cabinet.  This drawer holds LOTS of embellishments.  I use a variety of containers to hold all the different types of embellishments.  I LOVE these favor tins...I got mine in Michaels but these are just like them.  They hold lots of little things and have a clear top so it's easy to see what you are storing.

The second drawer holds some other embellishments I reach for...Hodgepodge Hardware, twine, cork, flowers, etc.   This drawer is a bit deeper so I can fit more stuff.

The last thing I use to store my embellishments is the Stack and Store (I think that is what it's called) container from Stampin' Up.  My absolute FAVORITE embellishment has to be brads, and this makes organizing them a breeze.  I have ALOT so I usually have one color per container, but sometimes I keep similar colors together in the separated containers.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!  MFTeasers start tomorrow night so I hope to see you back then!!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday!

I cannot even believe we are just two days away from Christmas!  I cannot even WAIT for Christmas morning with my girls...I LOVE this time of year!

I have one last Christmas card to share with you before the big day.  My dear friend Jessica sent me this ADORABLE Ho Ho Ho stamp set from There She Goes along with a gorgeous Christmas card, and I just could not bear not inking him up at least once this season.  I seriously LOVE this Santa!

I started with this week's Deconstructed Sketch, DS32, for the layout.  SUCH a fun sketch!  The patterned paper is Peppermint from Crate Paper and I stamped Santa in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers.  I gave all the trim on his hat and jacket a dusting of crystal glitter, and added some sparkle to his belt with a Black Spica Glitter Pen.  I then "fussy cut" him out and layered him onto a panel cut with Circle Nestabilities and Wonky Rectangle Nestabilities.  I added stitching around the circle (stitch by stitch ala my pal Jody), and the patterned paper panels were embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

I added tons of stitching, and the scallop border on top was created with the Large Simply Scallops Die-Namics from MFT.  I cut the snowflakes using the Let It Snowflake Die-Namics, also from MFT, out of My Favorite Felt in Puff Cloud White, and the sentiment, "Ho Ho Ho" was stamped onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, also from MFT.

I finished this off with a ribbon/bow combo of Pure Poppy Saddle Stitch Ribbon, as well as two black brads that I used my brand new Brad Setter to attach (thank you Kerry!!!).  Where has this tool been all my life?  LOVE it!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

I Love You {MFTWSC51}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!

It's week 51 of our WSC Getting Sketchy.   We have another fabulous sketch for you this week...meet MFTWSC51!

I must admit, I am a tad burned out on Christmas cards, so I decided to use this week's sketch to get a jump on my Valentine's Day cards!  I used the SUPER sweet Pure Innocence Love You With All My Heart and colored her with Copic Markers.  I used part of a sentiment from this set, "I Love You" and stamped it onto a panel cut with the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-Namics.  I attached it to the focal panel with some zig zag stitching.

I added a border with the Crown Border Die-Namics (love) and added a pearl over each hole.  I added a big bow and tons of stitching, and the patterned paper is Love Struck from We R Memory Keepers.

For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, and another sentiment, "With All My" and I omitted the "heart" and instead replaced it with a layered heart cut with the Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics and Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.
