Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!
It's been a few days since I've posted! I've been working through a toothache, root canal and some other dental stuff. Not so fun. I was able to finally sit down and make a card though! YAY!
I just LOVE this sweet Moka Kristie from Taylored Expressions! Isn't she so super cute? I started with this week's Sketch Challenge at SCS, SC363, but I turned it on it's side to accomodate Kristie. She was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I cut out the image with Rectangle Nestabilities, and while the paper was still in the die, traced around the inside edge with a Copic Multliner to create the frame. I also stitched around it for more interest, but sponged the edges with Memento Tangelo and Memento Cantaloupe before sewing.
I used a Clear Spica Glitter Pen to add sparkle to the blades of her skates, as well as to her skate skirt. I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to each corner of the focal panel. The sentiment, "Warmest Winter Wishes", also from Moka Kristie, was stamped onto a panel cut with the Fly Your Flag 2 Taylored Die. The sentiment panel is anchored to the card with a double snowflake cut with the Winter Wonderland Snowflake Taylored Dies out of both cardstock and vellum. Using my Viva Pearl Pen in Cream, I added some pearls to the edge of the snowflakes and then sprinkled chunky glitter over it. LOVE that.
The background was impressed with the Musical Swirls Taylored Impression Plate. LOVE the texture you get with these! I added a border to the bottom panel of patterned paper, which is all from Holly Jolly Christmas by Echo Park Papers, using the Scalloped Eyelet Border Taylored Die. Tons of stitching finish this one off, as well as all of the layers popped up with Foam Tape for dimension.
Here are the Taylored Impression Plate and Taylored Dies I've used on my card:
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
