Taylored Expressions Previews: Day One!

**This is my second post of the day...please scroll down a smidge for my MFTeaser! Thanks **

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! Today is the first day of previews for the latest Taylored Expressions release!

There is ALOT of the menu today, so let's get to it! The sets that are being previewed today by the Baker's Dozen are:

It's a Banner Day 2 Mini Stamp Set plus coordinating Taylored Die Banner Day 2
Spring Wreath Petite Stamp Set
Spring A la Carte Stamp

I've used the Spring Wreath Petite set for my first card. This set is the third in the seasonal wreath series and was concepted by Jami Sibley and designed by Nancy Mckinney for the Whimsical Wishes line @ Taylored Expressions. What I LOVE about these seasonal wreaths (we've already released the Wreath of Love and Wreath of Luck) is that they ALL fit in the Seasonal Wreath Taylored Die!! I've heard from a reliable source (grin!) that there are more to come in this line!

I started by stamping the wreath in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out using the Seasonal Wreath Taylored Die. The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC106. ALL of the cardstock, patterned paper (Hippity Hoppity from We R Memory Keepers), ribbon and brads are from the Spring Project Pantry, also being released on Thursday!! I added texture to the circle panel behind the wreath with the Scallops & Circles Impression Plate.

Here are the Taylored Dies & Impression Plate I've used on this card:

My second card today features the fabulous new It's A Banner Day 2. This set is the second in a series concepted by Iwona Palamountain and it was designed by Taylor as part of the TE Collection at Taylored Expressions. There is a coordinating Taylored Die, It's A Banner Day Die 2, that perfectly matches this set...SO fun! Mini Stamp Sets come on a 4.75" square full color sturdy storage panel and this set has a total of nine stamps, 3 different banners and 6 sentiments that cover just about any occassion.

Like all Taylored Expressions stamps, this set is made of deeply etched rubber on EZ Mount - already trimmed and ready to use (except for the sets in The Giving Tree Program...those need to be trimmed).

I've paired this fun new set with a previously released set, Favorite Peeps, to create this springtime card!! I colored the image with Copic Markers and added a border created with the Medium Scallop Border Die. Once again, all of the cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon are from the Spring Project Pantry.

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today:

MFTeasers: Day Four!

Hi everyone!! Happy Monday!! I have another MFTeaser to share with you today (don't you LOVE Teaser Time? I sure do!).

Today I am sharing a new sweetie from the Claire Keay lineup, Bee Yourself!! How cute is this little sweetie???

I colored her with Copic Markers and cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities. While the paper was in the die, I traced around the inside edge with a Copic Multiliner to create a frame. I layered this on top of a panel cut with the AWESOME new Die-Namics Dizzy Doily Die. I LOVE this die!

The patterned paper is Stella Rose Gertie from My Minds Eye (shocking...I know) and I sewed the edges on the sewing machine and added brads in each corner. The sentiment, "Just Bee Yourself" was stamped and then cut and popped up over the focal image with Foam Tape.

I went SUPER simple on the inside, and simply stamped this cutie again in Baja Breeze ink and added another sentiment, "You are Bee-autiful". I love that all MFT sets have so many sentiment choices.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by today! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers previewing sets today! Be sure to hop around and comment on each blog for a chance at winning an MFT Voucher!

MFTeasers: Day Three!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

I'm back today with more MFTeasers...and you know what's in store today right? Yes...it's Pure Innocence MFTeaser Day!!!

There are a total of five new Pure Innocence stamp sets being released on the 1st! I have peeks of two for you today! I just LOVE the Pure Innocence Collection. LOVE.

My first card uses the DARLING Pure Innocence One Sweet Chick. Isn't she SO super cute? I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress with the same patterned paper I used on the card, Stella Rose Hazel from My Minds Eye.

Do you LOVE the new Die-Namics I've used? Oh...I {heart} them!! My first card features the AMAZING Die-Namics Dizzy Doily Die (say that three times fast!), the Die-Namics Dizzy Border and the Die-Namics Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Dies!! They will all be released(along with other new Die-Namics!) on Tuesday, March 1st!

I decided to NOT sew on this one...I thought it would make it too busy. I did add two Baby Braddies in the top left corner, as well as a big bow created with the Bow Easy. You only see half of the Die-Namics Dizzy Border Die on the front, as I covered the top half with another panel. This die is SUPER versatile!

On the inside, you can see the full Die-Namics Dizzy Border Die. Isn't it awesome? I LOVE it! Another sentiment from the set, and a cute little chick, finish this one off!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

My second card today features the ADORABLE new Pure Innocence Girl Scout (don't worry...there is a Boy Scout too!!!). I totally LOVE this little cutie!!

I colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out and embossed the panel with Petite Oval Nestabilities and then sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo.

All of the patterned paper is Stella Rose Mabel from My Minds Eye. I am officially obsessed.

Being I went a bit crazy with all the patterns on the front, I chose to put the sentiment inside, and went with the simple, yet oh so appropriate, "got cookies?". LOVE that!!!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on this card:

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of designers previewing sets today! Be sure to hop around and leave some love for a chance at winning an MFT Voucher!

Thanks So Much!

This is my second post of the day! Please scroll down a smidge for my other post! Thanks!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!

I have been having a blast using the February SFYTT Sketch all month long...in fact, it's a sketch I really LOVE and plan on using alot!

For my card today, I wanted to pair the VERY first Taylored Expressions set I worked with when I joined the Bakers Dozen, Branching Out, along with the newly released (and oh so fabulous) It's A Banner Day 1. Jen's sketch was perfect for what I had in mind!

I started by cutting and embossing a piece of Choice Buttercream cardstock with Circle Nestabilities, and with the paper still in the die, I stamped the bird and branch from Branching Out in Memento Tuxedo Black. I then traced the inside of the die with a Copic Multiliner to create a frame, and of course, added some sponging with Memento Cantaloupe and Memento Tangelo. I colored the bird and branch with Copic Markers.

I stamped one of the banner frames in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Kraft cardstock and cut it out with the Banner Day Die 1. I then added in the sentiment, "thanks so much", also from It's A Banner Day 1, in Memento Tuxedo Black.

The patterned paper is all Togetherness from Cosmo Cricket (I can't WAIT for their new collections to be available) and added a bow tied with Bakers Twine. Three antique brads in the top corner finish this one off. As I have been prone to do lately, I decided to NOT sew...I kinda like the cleaner look these days.

Here is the Taylored Die I've used on my card today!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday!! I have another MFTeaser for you today. MFTeasers make me happy!!!

Today I am sharing a SUPER cute new stamp set, and coordinating Die-Namics Die, Say What? from My Favorite Things. I LOVE this set...SO many possibilities!!!

For my card today, I used the set, and Die-Namic, on it's own, but how FUN would it be to add a word bubble and sentiment from this set with an a la mode or Pure Innocence gal! I have a bajillion (that's alot...) ideas for this set!

I cut out the word bubble with the Die-Namics Say What? Die and then stamped the bubble and sentiment, I chose to go with "thanks" for this card. I added some pink twinkles under the sentiment to make it pop a bit.

All the patterned paper is the new Stella Rose Hazel from My Minds Eye, and I sewed each layer on my sewing machine. I added some black gingham ribbon, created a bow with my Bow Easy, and added a button with a twine bow right on top. I really love the look of the gingham against these papers.

For the inside of my card, I went with more of the same paper, and added a sentiment from the uber essential (seriously...you need this set) More Essential Sentiments, "You're Awesome". Some more machine stitching on the inside ties it all together.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today (I find it seriously hard to make a card without the Die-Namics Little Open Scallop Strip Die):

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday! I am SO excited that today marks the first day of MFTeasers! Just WAIT and see what Kim & MFT have in store for you this month...WOW!!!

The first set I get to share with you today is a GORGEOUS new set called Sweet & Sassy!! I've used the coordinating new set of Die-Namics too...The Die-Namics Sweet Stack Dies! I LOVE these!!!

I wanted a very simple color combo for my card to really showcase the graphic elements in this set, so I went with a purple/grey/white combo. I stamped the zebra print from this set (the stamp is made to fit the largest die in the Sweet Stack, but I used it by cutting it out with the circle die for my card). I then stamped the sentiment, "Sweet & Sassy" and the frame around it and cut it out with the horizontal window die from the Die-Namics Sweet Stack.

I embossed the panels with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, and the Smokey Shadow panel was turned the other way for some difference in the dots. I added a border created with the Die-Namics Dainty Dots Border Die and added a rhinestone in the center of each circle. I also added a rhinestone to either end of the sentiment panel to tie it all together. A simple bow, created with The Bow Easy, finishes off the front.

For the inside of my card, I chose another sentiment from the set, "You're On Fire" (LOVE that) and stamped a flourish from the set (I stamped this in Memento Sweet Plum but stamped off once first) underneath it. Another panel of embossed dots completes the look.

I used this week's MFTWSC8 Sketch again for the layout...love this sketch!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

The second set I have the pleasure of sharing with you today is the newest installment in the Fred Bear lineup at MFT, Oopsie Daisy! Isn't he SOOOOOO cute? I love him!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out the panel and embossed it with Rectangle Nestabilities, drew in the frame and added two twinkles. I've used some more new My Minds Eye papers on this card, Stella Rose Gertie (LOVE) and some more delish new Die-Namics...the Die-Namics Upsy Daisy Flower Builder!! LOVE LOVE LOVE these flowers!!! With my cluser of flowers and big bow, I had no room for my sentiment on the front.

For the inside, I used some more delish MME papers and added the sentiment, "If friends were flowers I'd pick you...every single time". LOVE that sentiment and the font too!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

It's that time of the month again! The Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop! I LOVE these hops...I have SO many TE stamps that are aching for a good inking!!

This month's theme is Going Green! I went quite literal with my card and used alot of, well, green!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this St. Paddy's Day Cuppie from A Year of Sweets 1, and I LOVE to pull him out and color him up for St. Patrick's Day! I thought he was perfect for this month's theme!!

I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities.

I gave the shamrocks, and of course, the gold in the pot o' gold, some shimmer with Starfire Glitter that I adhered with a Quickie Glue Pen.

I created a patchwork background from some green paper that I embossed with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder. I then stitched each block on my sewing machine.

The sentiment, "Magically Delicious" is from the FABULOUS A Year of Sweet Sentiments set, and I stamped it directly onto the focal panel. I added a bow that I created with The Bow Easy and popped up the focal panel with Foam Tape.

I can't wait to check out what the rest of the participants have created this month!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what theme we will be working with for March!

The patterned paper is the DELISH new Stella Rose Mabel from My Minds Eye (Be prepared to see all these new MME papers all week long...I just can't put them down!).

I did lots of stitching on this one and added a yummy bow (created with the bow easy) and some brads to finish it all off!

The second set I have the pleasure of sharing with you today is Sentimental Birthday! This set, like the other Sentimental sets, features the handwriting of our very own Julie Lacey and is a MUST have set! I LOVE it!

I let the sentiment do all the work on my card, and I matched it up with some more new My Minds Eye paper, this time using Stella Rose Gertie. Another big bow, this time Black Saddle Stitched Ribbon, finishes this one off!

Wishing You Happiness!!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!

I LOVE Wednesdays because I LOVE the new MFTWSC Sketch Format. I also LOVE my My Favorite Things Stamps. I sure am feeling the love today!!

This sketch is AMAZING. The possibilities are endless.

I wanted to go for a bit more elegant, yet still playful, feeling for my card today. I decided to make a card that would be appropriate for a special occasion like an engagement or wedding.

I started by choosing the sentiment for my focal panel, and I went with "Wishing You Happiness" from the truly essential More Essential Sentiments set from My Favorite Things. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Choice Buttercream Cardstock and cut it out using the oval die from the Die-Namics Layered Label Die.

The patterned paper is all from Thrift Shop from October Afternoon...I love that yellow pattern. I added a border with the oh so elegant Die-Namics Faux Crochet Border Die, and a simple satin ribbon with a bow created with The Bow Easy.

A BIG rhinestone flourish was placed under the sentiment panel, but over the ribbon. I also added more rhinestones on top and below the sentiment, as well as on the sides of the middle panel of the focal image. Once again...new sewing on this one!

I finished off the inside (shocking...I know), with a bit more of that yellow pattern I love so much, another border created with the Die-Namics Faux Crochet Border Die, and some more rhinestones, this time in between each scallop accent of the border. The sentiment, "Wishing You All The Happiness Your Heart Can Hold" is from the FABULOUS Happy Thoughts set, also from My Favorite Things.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Make sure to head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers and Challenge Team members that created with this sketch today!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Be sure to use the keyword MFTWSC8 when uploading your creation for this challenge to an online gallery! I can't wait to see what you all create!
