MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Saturday!  Are you ready for another My Favorite Things teaser?

My card today features a FABULOUS new set, and of course, it has matching Die-Namics!  Check out the Notched Tag Die-Namics and Stamp Set!  This stamp set is SO cute, and while it is absolutely delightful on it's own, I thought it would be fun to pair it with a previously released set so you can see just how versatile it is!

I started by stamping this ADORABLE á la mode, Oh Baby! in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic Markers.  I then stamped her again in Sweet Blush and then, using Pretty In Pink ink, stamped the polka dot pattern from this new set all over it.  I then cut out the teddy bear and paper pieced it.  I did this one more time, this time with the floral pattern, which is from Emma's Shoppe from Crate Paper, and then used this to paper piece the bow on the teddy bear.

This little sweetie is layered on top of two different doily dies, the previously released Die-Namics Decorative Doily Die, and then one of the new Die-Namics Decorative Doily Duo!!  How AWESOME are these?  Now you can perfectly layer the Decorative Doily Die!  Sigh...pure happiness!

Using the Die-Namics Notched Tag die, I cut a tag from Fossil Cardstock.  I then cut out the onesie from Sweet Blush Cardstock and then, once again, stamped the polka dot stamp in Pretty In Pink on it to give it some texture.  I added "Baby Girl" on the botton of the tag and then tucked it under my bow.  LOVE this new set!  I rounded some corners, added texture with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, and then, of course, added some machine stitching.  The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC113.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday!!

Are you excited as I am for this months My Favorite Things MFTeasers to begin???  This release is AMAZING (well, they all are...let's be honest) and I can't WAIT for you to see all the sets coming your way on Tuesday, May 3!

My first card today features an AH-mazing new set that is a must have in your stamp collection, Well Worn Greetings!!!  OMG.  I am in LOVE with this set!!  Want to know the best part?  It's packaged with the Die-Namics Well Worn Label Dies!  This is a set of three dies that layer BEAUTIFULLY.  Believe me, you will use these over and over!!

For my card, I started by stamping a piece of Sno Cone Cardstock with one of the patterns from Well Worn Greetings and then cut it out with the middle die.  I sponged the edges for a more, well, worn look.  I then stamped the frame onto a piece of Fossil Cardstock and then added my sentiment, "Thank you with all my heart".  I layered all of the pieces together and then, in place of the word "heart" on the sentiment, I added a sweet little heart and button combo that I created using the Die-Namics Hearts A Plenty and Die-Namics Button Quartet Dies.  I added some lace, vintage brads and sewing and called it done!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

My second card today shows off the latest in the Fred Bear line at My Favorite Things, Fred Bear Plays Indian!  I LOVE him...and the sentiments in this set are SOOOOOOOOOO cute!

I started by stamping Fred and colored him with Copic Markers.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Tangelo and Memento Cantaloupe.

The patterned paper is from Hello Luscious from Basic Grey and all the panels were sewn on my sewing machine.  I embossed the Fossil panel with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.  The beginning of my sentiment, "How..." was stamped on a piece of Fossil Cardstock and then cut out with the Die-Namics Say What? Die.  I added some vintage brads on the bottom of my focal panel.

For the inside, I just HAD to finish off the sentiment with "old are you?".  Totally cracks me up!  I think this card would be perfect for a guy...don't you?  The sentiment is layered on cardstock cut with the Die-Namics Sweet Stack Labels Die.  LOVE these dies...I use them so often, especially on the inside of my cards.  I also added a border with the Die-Namics Open Zig Zag Border Die to finish off the inside.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

You Float My Boat!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!!

Here is a sweet little card I created using the April SFYTT sketch!  I can't beleive that April is almost over...you still have a few more days to submit your card using this sketch though!  Check out Jen's post HERE for all the details.

For my card today, I used the darling Kid At Heart set from Taylored Expressions.  I hadn't inked up lots of images in this set, and for today, I wanted to work with this sweet sailboat.  I stamped this sweet boat with Memento Danube Blue and Memento Pear Tart onto Choice Snow White Cardstock.   I stamped the sentiment, "You Float My Boat", also from Kid At Heart, in Memento Tuxedo Black under the sailboat.

I cut it out and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities and then drew a frame in with my Copic Multliner.  I left a little space and added two of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, of course using Embellie Gellie to place them perfectly.

All of the patterned paper is Little Boy from Echo Park Papers (love that sailboat pattern!) and my background panel was embossed with the new Stars Impression Plate.  I opted to not sew on this one...I wanted a crisper look for my card.  I added three white brads on the bottom right corner and called it done!

Here is the Impression Plate I've used on my card today:

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

There She Goes Previews: Lighten Up!

*PLEASE SCROLL DOWN A SMIDGE FOR MY MFTWSC POST.  THANKS! *

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!

Today is the second day of previews for the latest and greatest There She Goes release, and I am SO excited to share this AMAZING new set with you, Lighten Up!

Did you make your way here from my super fab BSF Jessie's Blog?  If so, you are right on track!  If not, please start the hop at the There She Goes Blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today's set, Lighten Up, was illustrated by the oh so amazing Torico.  I seriously LOVE every set she has designed, and this set is certainly no exception!

I had SO much fun creating this card!  This set is SO adorable and it features a total of 20 stamps and will set for only $15.00.  There are several choices of lamp shades and lamp bases, so you can mix and match for any style you want!  I tried to go with a stained glass kind of look for my card, so I paper pieced the lampshade to achieve this look.

I started with the sketch from this week's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG104.  LOVE this sketch, although you will notice that my sentimentt panel was moved down a bit on my sample.  The patterned paper is all from Hello Luscious from Basic Grey.  I colored the lamp base with Copic Markers, and as I mentioned above, paper pieced the shadw with the same patterned paper.  I cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities.

The scalloped border was created with the Die-Namics Simply Scallops Die, and I added a big bow of delish seam binding (that just arrived today...woot!) along with a sweet stick pin.  This anchors my sentiment flag, which reads, "Look on the bright side".  I love this sentiment and I love the two different fonts.  Some machine stitching all around finishes this one off.
Would you like a chance to win Lighten Up? Getting that chance is super easy! Simply hop around and comment on each Trendsetter's Lighten Up posts and when you are done, head back to the There She Goes Blog and leave your information on the Lighten Up post! One lucky winner will win this amazing set! Good luck!

The next stop on this illuminating (grin) hop is at Julie Lacey's Blog.  She is MAD talented...can't wait to see what she has whipped up today!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

You're An All Star!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!  It's time for another MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC17!

Of course, it's another FABULOUS sketch, and that long vertical panel was screaming at me to use an á la mode!    The á la modes in All Star was the lucky winner today!!

I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced her flap and then rolled it a bit and popped it up for some dimension.  All of the patterned paper is Little Boy from Echo Park Papers.  I added two green brads to the focal panel for a bit of pop.

I cut out some stars using my beloved Die-Namics Stacking Stars Dies and layered them, along with a little sentiment flag which reads "You're An All Star".  Two borders on the sketch were created with the Die-Namics Star Border Die.  Love that!

For the inside, I kept it super simple.  A bit more patterned paper from Little Boy, and then I stamped "Way to go" repeatedly across horizontally.  Love the simple look of this, and it still leaves plenty of room for a personal message.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:

Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers that have used this sketch today!!

Congratulations On Your Graduation!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!!

Here is a card I created in attempt to play along with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC329.  As you can see from just the one circle element on my card, this sketch and I did not get along!  That being said, I actually really like the layout without the top circle, and I plan to use this layout again!

I wanted to play with the new Dream Big set from Taylored Expressions.  I love this set, all the images and elements are so much fun to work with.  Even though there are alot of patterns on my card, it really is more of a CAS design.

The patterned paper is from the awesome Hometown Summer from Pink Paislee!  LOVE these papers...the designs are right up my alley!   I started by stamping the large circle element from Dream Big in Memento Tuxedo Black onto red cardstock and cut it out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities.  I then stamped the same stamp again, also in Memento Tuxedo Black, onto a piece of the patterned paper from Hometown Summer and then cut that out and embossed it with Circle Nestabilities.  I layered the entire piece with black cardstock cut with Circle Nestabilities.

I stamped the graduation cap directly onto the patterned paper circle and stamped the diploma on a separate piece of Choice Buttercream Cardstock, colored it with Copic Markers, cut it out and popped it up next to the hat with Foam Tape.  I added one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the tassle, as well as on the four corners of the patterned paper panel.  I know I say this all the time, but I LOVE to use Embellie Gellie when working with the Twinkles.  All of the layers were sewn on my sewing machine.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Sweet!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!!

I have a sweet little CAS card to share with you today (I know...two days in a row of CAS...perhaps I am turning over a new leaf? LOL!!)

There is BARELY any stamping on this card if you can believe it!  Recently, Taylor added all of the KI Memories Puffies to the Taylored Expressions Store, and I simply could not resist picking up a package (or two...or three).  They are SO darling!

I've used the Taylored Expressions Sketch, TESC136 for my layout, and taking all the credit for this card is this ADORABLE winking cupcake from the Sweet Love Puffies.  This sassy little cupcake totally makes me smile!

The sentiment, "Sweet!" is from Sweet Friends, also from Taylored Expressions, and I simply stamped it and created a little flag on one end.  I tucked it under my Puffie.  Easy peasy!

The patterned paper was a PERFECT match for this sweet little cupcake, and it's from the Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen collection.  This paper pad has darling patterns!  I added some machine stitching and three white brads and called it done!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Taylored Expressions April Blast From The Past Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!!

Today is the day for the Taylored Expressions April Blast From The Past Blog Hop (lol...that is quite a mouthful isn't it!).  This month's theme is Clean & Simple!

Now, Clean & Simple isn't a style that I profess to love, but the more I make them, the more I love the look of them!  This card was in my head for awhile, so when this month's theme was announced, I headed down to my stamp room and cranked it out!

This is a one layer card.  Yep...one layer!  Well, unless the hills count :)  I created them by stamping the fabulous Stitched Plaid Background onto green cardstock and I then free hand cut the shape of the hills.  Before adhering them to the Choice Snow White card base, I stitched them on my sewing machine.

I stamped the scooter from Feelin' Groovy in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it with Copic Markers.  I added one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center of the flower on the scooter for a bit of shine.

The clouds were cut from white felt using the Cloud Duo Die and attached them with Sticky Tape. I stamped the sentiment, "Scootin by to say hi!", also from Feelin' Groovy, in Memento Tuxedo Black on the top of the card and added different colored Twinkles on either side.  As always, when working with Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, I count on Embellie Gellie for perfect placement every time!

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card today:

You Did It!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

Another Wednesday means another MFT Sketch! This week we are up to MFTWSC16! Sheesh...the weeks are certainly flying by aren't they?

Before long, my Meredith will be graduating from Nursery School (and yes...I fully intend to cry), and I thought that this week's sketch was a perfect opportunity to ink up the sweet Pure Innocence Graduate from My Favorite Things (currently being restocked) and make my cutie a card for this momentous occasion!

I stamped her onto X Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copic Markers.  I then cut her out and popped her up in a circle cut from red cardstock to which I added some red stars cut with the Die-Namics Stacking Stars Die.  I used the Die-Namics Notebook Edge Die to give a bit of interest to the center panel.  Love that die (well, let's be honest...I love them all!).

I kept the embellies simple since I used lots of patterns.  I added some Baker's Twine and a red bow created with The Bow Easy!!  All of the patterned paper is Report Card from October Afternoon.

For the inside, I added another sentiment from this sweet set, "I'm extremely proud of you" and I underlined the word extremely with a Red Spica Glitter Pen to accentuate the sentiment.  Another scalloped border with the Die-Namics Simply Scallops Die, some more stars from the Die-Namics Stacking Stars Die, and a bit more Baker's Twine to tie (get it?) it all together!

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

MFT VIP Blog Hop & Shop!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Tuesday!!  Welcome to the MFT WTG VIP Blog Hop!  I LOVE this new WTG and I am sure you will too!!

Did you make your way here by way of the fabulous Eva's Blog?  If so, perfect!  If not, please start at the wonderful Kim's Blog so that you don't miss a stop!

Check out the newest WTG offering, Girls Rule!  LOVE her!!!  This month's VIP Kit is GORGEOUS!  It includes the following:

Who's that Girl - Girls Rule! stamp set
Girls Rule Sentiments mini (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE)
Scallop Ribbon Die-namics Die
Lily Bee Designs Picket Fence 6 X 6 patterned paper pad
Studio Calico Wood Veneer Shapes (you will receive buttons, hearts, OR butterflies)

I think it goes without saying that you need this kit right?  {grin}

For my card, I started by stamping this Girls Rule gal and colored her with Copic Markers.  Her dress was paper pieced with the same papers I used on the rest of the card, Picket Fence by Lily Bee Designs.   I also used this gorgeous paper collection to create the posies with my beloved Die-Namics Pretty Posies Die.  LOVE these dies...I believe I may have mentioned that once or twice.  I used the leaf from the Die-Namics Flower and Leaf Trio Dies to create the leaves, and I added a Swarovski Crystal in the center of each flower.

The new Die-Namics Scallop Ribbon Die is a delight!  I've used it here as both a border and a place to stamp my sentiment, "It's A Girl Thing".  I added tons of stitching on this one and even went so far as to sponge the edges of all my layers for a softer look.

For the inside, I used a sentiment from the Girls Rule Sentiments Mini.  This set has the most FABULOUS sentiments.  Remember, the only way to get this exclusive mini set is to order this VIP kit!  It will never be offered again!  I added some more Swarovski crystals randomly around the sentiment, and some more patterned paper and another Die-Namics Scallop Ribbon Border finish this one off.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

The next stop on this Girls Rule hop is at the amazing Megan's Blog!  I am sure she will have something GORGEOUS for you to gaze at!

Taylored Expressions Special Release!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Tuesday!

Taylored Expressions is bursting at the seams with so much sweet new rubber that we couldn't fit it all in the regular monthly release! We are excited to bring you a one-time mid-month release of 3 new stamp sets - Labels of Love, You're My Type - Upper and You're My Type - Lower. As if that weren't exciting enough, these new sets are designed to coordinate with Spellbinders dies! The best part of this fabulous mid month realeas...everything we are showing you is available TODAY!!! WOOT!

We also want to take this opportunity to express a huge thank you to Spellbinders who generously provided our team members with Grand Calibur die cutting machines.   SO totally and amazingly generous!  I ♥ my Grand Calibur!  I don't have any of the new Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities (yet), but I LOVE to use my Grand Calibur to cut multiple die cuts at the same time.  It makes life SO easy!  I love easy :)  The Grand Calibur cuts and embosses so smoothly...and I love how the pieces are labeled.  No more fumbling around trying to figure out which one is the cutting mat and which is the embossing mat!
I have two projects to share with you today using all the new goodies!  Let's get started shall we?

The first set I have the pleasure of sharing with you today is Labels Of Love.   This is a darling set of 31 (yes...31!) stamps designed by Taylor for the *te* line @ Taylored Expressions!  Like all Taylored Expressions stamps, these are cut from deeply etched red rubber in a cute shade of pink (and of course, they are mounted on EZ mount already)!  This set comes on a 5.75 X 8.5 full color sturdy storage panel that conveniently fits in the amazing Binder Boxes!  LOVE these.  I store ALL of my Taylored Expressions sets in these boxes...I love to look at them all lined up.

This new set is fabulous, as the frames and sentiments can all be mixed and matched, as well as used alone or together.  LOVE how versatile it is!  This set coordinates with the new Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Three Dies.  I LOVE these dies!  They give such an elegant way to add ribbon to your card or scrapbook page!

I have a few pictures to show you how easy it is to use these fabulous new dies with the Labels Of Love set!  I've first stamped the label that I wanted to use on my card today (stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock).  I then lined up my die right over the stamped image and added a small piece of tape to keep it in place.

I ran it through my Grand Calibur and viola, a perfect ribbon tag!

I've paired this sweet new set with one of my favorite previously released sets, Friendship Blooms!  The patterned paper is all from Stella & Rose Gertie, and I used it for the main panels as well as the flowers on my focal panel.

You can see on the ribbon tag how the ribbon just slides right through the slits on the sides of the panel.  Easy peasy!  After stamping it and cutting/embossing it as mentioned above, I colored it with Copic Markers and sponged it a bit for more pop.  I just LOVE the look of this and how it adds that extra special accent on a card!

You can find these fabulous new products right here:

or, you can purchase them as a bundle:

Next on the agenda are two separate Mini Stamp Sets, You're My Type Upper and You're My Type Lower!  Again, these are cut from the same deeply etched rubber, mounted on EZ mount and are cut and ready for stamping!

We are featuring these sets today along with the fabulous new Spellbinders Nested Pennants and Spellbinders Lacey Pennants, but these sets are perfect for so many other uses!  I am thinking of personalized stationary, little personalized tags...it's such a great font and the perfect size!  It is also wonderful with a 1/2 inch Circle Punch!

Today, I've used the You're My Type Lower and the Spellbinders Nested Pennant Dies to create my card.  I've paired these new products with another one of my favorite previously released sets, Wings of Joy, to create a holiday card!

Banners and pennants are all the rage these days, and the Spellbinders Nested Pennant Dies make it super easy to create a sweet little banner like I've done here!  I simply cut them and embossed them in my Grand Calibur and then stamped the letters from You're My Type Lower right onto them.  I sponged them for more of a vintage feel, which was the look I was trying to achieve on my card.  A little Baker's Twine adds a touch of whimsy!

You can find these fabulous new products right here:

To celebrate the first ever Taylored Expressions mid month release, Taylor has a VERY special sale!
While supplies last, the Spellbinders Nested Pennants and the Spellbinders Lacey Pennants are on sale for 30% off!!  That's $13.99 each instead of the regular price of $19.99 each!

Please head on over and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have whipped up for you today here:

and, of course, TaylorVan Bruggen

MFTeasers: The a la modes in Grad Girl!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Tuesday!!

I am back with another MFTeaser for you!!  May I introduce the á la modes in Grad Girl?  Holy guacamole...LOVE her!!!!!

This cutie was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic Markers.  I created the "2011" banner with the AMAZING new Die-Namics Fishtail Banner Die (currently being restocked) and the Typewriter Alphabet (also currently being restocked).  I added some eyelets (how old school...get it?  LOL), and attached each piece with Baker's Twine.

For the "Class Of" sentiment, I used the Die-Namics Rounded Banner Trio.  All the patterned paper is from Schoolhouse from October Afternoon.

For the inside, I added more of the same Schoolhouse paper, and a border using the new Die-Namics Open Zig Zag Border Die.  The sentiment, "So Proud Of You" is highlighted with the Die-Namics Sweet Stack Labels Die.  I added an eyelet on either side of the sentiment to be consistent with the front of the card.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a list of all of the designers who are previewing this set today!
