Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It's week 72 of our WSC Getting Sketchy (May 16-May 22). We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!
I need a birthday card for my friend's son, and I knew I wanted to use the adorable Pure Innocence Cowboy set from My Favorite Things. Being that the Birthday Boy has a fabulous head of hair, I took a cue from the patterned paper I used, Sasparilla from October Afternoon, and drew in some hair with a Copic Multliner. It changes his look so much no?
I first stamped him onto X Press It Blending Card and then, after drawing in his hair, colored him with Copic Markers. I then cut out and layered the panel with Rectangle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. The sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is from the new Pure Innocence All Occasion Sentiments, and I stamped it onto a panel that was cut out and layered with the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-Namics.
I added a border with the Open Bracket Border Die-Namics and tied a bit of twine on top of it. Using the Country Charms Die-Namics, I cut the star out of Banana Split Cardstock and attached it to the sentiment panel with a vintage brad. I stamped "1" using the Banner Day Alphabet. A few more vintage brads on the bottom complete the front. Here is a closeup of the sentiment panel.
Here is a closeup of my coloring on this little cutie. I colored his outfit to match the cowboy on the patterned paper.
On the inside I added more patterned paper, and created a panel that I stamped the cowboy again, this time in Baja Breeze Cardstock. I stamped a sentiment, this one from Pure Innocence Cowboy, "L'il Buckaroo". Too cute!
Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
