Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!
Here is a card I created for yet another Birthday party Meredith is attending! Normally I find making cards for boys a bit, well, challenging, but with the new Far Out set from Taylored Expressions, it's easy as can be!
For my card I started with last week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS158. I thought the layout was PERFECT to add some sprockets using the new Sprockets Taylored Die! These are SO fun no? I cut out the sprockets (there are three) out of three different colors of cardstock, all of which match the patterned paper I've used, On The Sunny Side from My Minds Eye. I arranged them along one side of the card over some Baker's Twine that I wrapped around the card. I added some rhinestone bling in the center of each sprocket.
I stamped this adorable birthday robot in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment beneath him, "Happy Birthday", which is also from Far Out. I then popped up the panel with Foam Tape, and some of the sprockets are popped up with Foam Tape too. I added some shimmer to the flame on the candles with Spica Glitter Pens.
Here is a closeup of this little cutie:
And here is a closeup of the sprockets. Love them!
