Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! It's time for the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge for July!
Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we
challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a
specific theme, product or technique. This month, our Designers have
gotten unseasonably seasonal with Christmas in July. Kick start your
holiday projects with these creative ideas from our Design Team.
I created a Christmas Card for today's challenge. I wish I could say I made this to add to my stash, but alas, this is the first Christmas card I've created so far. I LOVE this Pure Innocence Sending You A Little Christmas and could not wait to ink her up! I colored her with Copic Markers and added White Sparkly Fluff to the trim on her hat and boots. I added some bling to her coat buttons and to the tree.
I cut out and layered the panel with the Square STAX 1 Die-Namics and Square STAX 2 Die-Namics, and I added a trio of the new drool worthy buttons from MFT, using Kraft, Wild Cherry and Jellybean Green, and tied each with a bit of twine.
Here is a closeup of her. I LOVE her, truly. The sentiment, "Merry Christmas" is from Pure Innocence Christmas Caroler and I stamped it onto a panel cut with the Bracket Tab Die-Namics. I added some tinsel glitter underneath her feet and the sled for a snowy look.
I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics (have I mentioned how much I ADORE these?) to create this trio of flags, and the border was cut with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics. I embossed the Kraft background panel with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, and all of the layers were sponged lightly with some Distress Tea Dye Ink.
On the inside I added another sentiment from Pure Innocence Sending You A Little Christmas, and added another trio of flags cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics. The card base is Hot Fudge cardstock.
Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:
