Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!
My Mom asked me to make a card for my Aunt, who just recently became a Grandma, using this gorgeous sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Grandparents. I decided that instead of a card, I would create a frame for her.
I started with a frame from Michaels that I painted with white acrylic paint. After painting it, I sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink to soften it a bit.
I cut squares of paper using the Lavender paper pad from My Minds Eye. I sponged the edges of them as well and then stitched them together with my Janome Sew Mini.
I used another piece of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment. I then cut it out with the Designer Label 3 STAX Die-Namics. I layered it with a piece of Kraft cardstock cut with a larger die from this set and then added a butterfly cut from corrugated cardboard using the Butterflies Die-Namics.
I cut a trio roses using the Large Rolled Rose Die-Namics and I used My Favorite Felt in Vintage Blue, Puff Cloud White (both on sale!) and Bubblegum! I layered them over a kraft panel cut with the Large Fancy Flourish Die-Namics. I added a few leaves cut with the Royal Leaves Die-Namics cut from Jellybean Green Cardstock. I sprayed the entire frame with some silver glitz spray for a really like sparkle.
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
