Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!
It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.
This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping
studios hum. Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can
share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.
The theme for October is:
Good things come in small
packages! The holiday season is upon us and between Halloween,
Thanksgiving, Hanukah, and Christmas there are a ton of opportunities to
create and give little treats, gifts, and party favors. Please show us
something you'll be giving this year.
Fun fun fun!! For my project today, I decided to create little bags of Reindoor Food to hand out on Christmas Eve! I thought it would be fun for the kids to sprinkle the Reindeer Food outside so that the reindeer have something to munch on while Santa is filling their stockings (grin!)
I made a set of six to start, and I think I am going to create a few more, just to make sure I have enough. They were super easy to make and I think they turned out SUPER cute!
I started with the Mini Kraft Bakery Bags (they are SO cute) and stamped "Believe" from Reindeer Food using Paper White Fresh Ink all over the bags. I did this before I opened the bags so it was easier to stamp. Here are three of them stamped and ready to go.
I then filled up the bags with Quaker Oats and I added some glitter to each bag and then shook it up. LOVE how sparkly the mixture is! I cut out two panels with the Label Stacklets 1 Taylored Dies, the larger from red cardstock and the smaller from kraft cardstock. I then stamped the poem (LOVE). I stamped the reindeer in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored them with Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out.
Here is a view of the bag before I added the focal panel. I added a strip of Foam Tape to the portion of the bag that folds over, and this is what I attached the focal panel to. This way, when the bag is opened, the focal panel stays intact.
Here is the finished bag. LOVE these sweet little reindeer!
Here is a closeup of the focal panel! I can't wait to hand these out on Christmas Eve!
