Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!
I had some stampy time this weekend and immediately checked out one of my most favorite sketches, The Deconstructed Sketch! Here is my card for this week's sketch, DS102!
SUCH a great sketch, and a simple sketch too, but seriously, this card took me SO long to create! That's ok though, I love how it came out!
I am still on my Western Backgrounds kick thanks to Jackie, so I pulled that set out along with the fabulous Lisa Johnson Designs Howdy set as well as the Western Sentiments set and got to work! I started with a Kraft panel that I stamped with Western Backgrounds using Kraft Ink.
I cut a piece of Pink Lemonade Cardstock and stamped "Happy Birthday" from Western Sentiments in Hot Fudge Ink. I then matted it with a Sweet Tooth panel, and both were cut with the Rectangle STAX 1 and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-Namics. All of the panels were distressed a bit.
The sentiment, "Cowgirl", from Howdy, was stamped onto a panel cut with the Sentiment Strips Die-Namics in Hot Fudge Ink. I then stamped the star in the circle, also from Howdy, in Steel Blue Ink and cut it out with the Circle STAX 1 Die-Namics. I placed it on top of a star cut with the Star STAX Die-Namics cut with Steel Blue Cardstock. I added some Hemp Cord underneath the star, and two silver brads and underneath them, I used the fun little die from Blueprints 2 Die-Namics cut from Steel Blue Cardstock.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from Howdy in Hot Fudge Ink. I added more distressed edges to match the front.
Here are the MFT products I've used on my card:
