Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
What a FUN week this is! We are on Day Four of 5 Days To An Organized Crafty Stash over on the MFT Blog! Today, it’s all about Card Stock!
I have had this AWESOME Card Stock tower for quite a number of years. I purchased it from a crafty friend when she was re-doing her stamp room. I just LOVE it and it houses ALL my Card Stock, plus room for more! Good thing since we have been expanding our Card Stock Replenishments line at MFT with some GORGEOUS new colors! Each shelf houses a single color of Card Stock, and I keep full packs on the bottom, then full sheets, and then scraps. It’s all in one place and totally contained. I love that.
Since we have been adding more and more colors, and since I store my cardstock in Rainbow order (it just looks so pretty that way, doesn’t it?), I wanted to come up with a labeling system that was MOVEABLE. I found some fabulous Scotch Fasteners at my local office supply store, and I thought they would be perfect! They are simply two circles of velcro that come apart. I stuck one side of each circle directly onto my paper holder, and then the coordinating circle onto a card stock panel cut out with the new LJD All My Love Die-namics.
I added flags of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics labeled with the color of each Card Stock color.
Here you can see the back of one of them. Nothing fancy at all, but it works great! I also think it looks pretty too!
Here is a closeup of some of the shelves. When I want to add a new color into the mix, I simply move the paper, and then label! Easy peasy!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!
I like your heart tabs identifying your colours of paper. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteI love this tower! And what a great idea to velcro those hearts.
ReplyDeleteThose clear paper holders are awesome, Jodi, and your labels are so pretty! Great system!
ReplyDeleteOh Jodi, this is so pretty. I love that your holder is clear, so you can see the pretty rainbow of colors. So clever of you to do the velco color heart tags. Thanks for the great idea.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!!great storage
ReplyDeleteGosh if only I had my own room....
ReplyDeleteWell done
A very smart and pretty solution for storing card stock!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed beautiful Jodi; and a beautiful idea for labeling - thanks for the reference to the velcro circles!
ReplyDeleteYour clear tower for paper storage is a great way to let the paper shine. Mine isn't clear and it takes away from the colors. I like your idea of attaching the color (heart) and name to each box/slot. You did a fantastic job with your paper storing.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! LOVE that you can move your labels!
ReplyDeleteI have these for my 12x12 card stock. They fit nicely in my Expedit. I like how you added the color tag to the front.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Jodi...this looks fabulous!!!! Please come to Texas and redo my craftroom!!!!

ReplyDeletePretty paper display! Love your labels!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile my area is WAY TO DUSTY to keep paper out, yours sure does look pretty! Love the fun punched hearts with the banner tag identifying the colors -- sweet system.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display of paper, so cheerful, I really like your idea of the labeling. so cleaver and the tower is to die for.
ReplyDeleteI had a chance to get some of these when our only craft store closed but passed because of space but now I wish I hadn't.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the Velcro hearts to label everything. It looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI think the hearts are pretty, too!! Fantastic trays!
