Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It’s time for a new Color Throwdown, and this week, for CTD361, Tammy challenged us to use lime green, yellow, black and white! I am not going to lie, these were difficult colors for me! I actually have two cards to share with you today…I NEEDED to make these colors work!
I am still in flower mode from yesterday’s MFT Die-namics Design – Flowers and Foliage, and I used some rolled flowers on my first card!
I started with the background and started by cutting a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics. I stamped the panel with the Damask Background using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I added a strip of Smooth White Card Stock, also cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and stamped the sentiment, “Thinking Of You” from Grand Peaceful Wildflowers using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.
The flowers were cut from Lemon Drop Card Stock using the Large Rolled Rose Die-namics, Rolled Rose Die-namics and Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics. I arranged them on the card and then added leaves cut from Limelight Prestige Card Stock using the Royal Leaves Die-namics. I lightly sponged them with Limelight Premium Dye Ink to add more dimension to them.
My second card is super bright and bold!
I started with a panel of Sweet Tooth Card Stock and stamped it with the Etched Flower Background using Versamark and then heat embossed it with Black Detail Embossing Powder. I then watercolored the flowers using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I worked on a section at a time to color in the design.
I used the Happy Hellos Die-namics to cut both Sweet Tooth Card Stock and Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and layered them together. I added them to the bottom of the card and then added a trio of rhinestones.
Check out what the Color Throwdown Team has created today!
