Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!
I had a bit of stampy time this morning, and I played along with the current MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTWSC255! I did turn the sketch upside down as I felt the heart looked better on the bottom of my card.
I wanted to venture out of my color comfort zone and use colors that I don’t always reach for. For this card, I went with Eggplant, Wild Wisteria, Sno Cone and Cement Gray! I super love these colors together! I started with the focal panel and cut a panel of Sweet Tooth Card Stock using the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment from Thanks So Very Much using Eggplant Premium Dye Ink. The heart was cut from Eggplant Prestige Card Stock using Blueprints 22 Die-namics, as was the little strip of Cement Gray Prestige Card Stock. I added a sweet little button cut from Sno Cone Card Stock using the Button Quartet Die-namics and topped it off with a bow of Hemp Cord.
The main panel of Sweet Tooth Card Stock was cut using Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and using the Small Chevron Stripes Stencil, and LOTS of masking, I sponged on Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink, Wild Wisteria Premium Dye Ink, Eggplant Premium Dye Ink and Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink. I LOVE how this background turned out! I added a mat of Sweet Tooth Card Stock cut with Blueprints 2 Die-namics.
This is GORGEOUS, Jodi! LOVE the colours you picked...a beautiful combo (I've been on a huge "purple" kick as of late) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Chevron Striped background. Your creations are always such an inspiration to me!
