MFT Creative Challenge – Fantastic Florals!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for the April MFT Creative Challenge!  This month, the MFT Design Team is sharing projects that feature fantastic florals!  It will probably come as no surprise that I created a card using the gorgeous new LJD Modern Blooms and LJD Modern Blooms Die-namics!  I just cannot put these down!

This set just creates the MOST gorgeous flowers and leaves!  I started by cutting them out from Smooth White Card Stock using the LJD Modern Blooms Die-namics and then, using my MISTI, I stamped them with the new LJD Modern Blooms set using Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink, Wild Wisteria Premium Dye Ink, Grapesicle Premium Dye Ink, Tropical Teal Premium Dye Ink, Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink, Sno Cone Premium Dye Ink, Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink and Spearmint Premium Dye Ink.

I cut a circle of Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and stamped the sentiment “And they lived Happily Ever After”, from LJD Together Forever, using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.  I then arranged the flowers around the sentiment and popped them up with Jody Boosters.

 

The main panel of Natural Card Stock was cut with Blueprints 14 Die-namics and I added a mat of SMooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 3 Die-namics.  I stamped the Natural Card Stock panel using the Damask Background with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I added Pretty Pink Posh 6mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Marshmallow Sequins to the front.

On the inside, I cut another panel of Natural Card Stock using Blueprints 14 Die-namics, and added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 3 Die-namics.  I stamped another sentiment from LJD Together Forever, “Wishing you a beautiful today and happy forever” using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

Sending Happy Your Way! {SSSC261}

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!

It’s time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  This week, we are up to SSSC261!  It’s a fantastic sketch with tons of possibilities!

I was in the mood to stencil when I made this card, so I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock and I laid the Funky Florals Stencil on top.  I taped it down with some 3M tape and then sponged on Daffodil Premium Dye Ink, Orange Zest Premium Dye Ink and Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink.  The Premium Dye Inks blend SO beautifully, and it was so easy to get the three colors to blend together.  Before removing the stencil, I lightly sprayed on some MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer Mist.  I let that dry a bit and then removed the stencil.  LOVE how it came out!  I cut the panel with Blueprints 20 Die-namics, and added a mat of Black Licorice Card Stock.

I cut a panel of Black Licorice Card Stock using Blueprints 13 Die-namics and then trimmed it down.  I stamped “SENDING HAPPY YOUR WAY” from Totally Happy, using Versamark and then embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I added a trio of rhinestones to finish off the front.

On the inside, I layered Black Licorice Card Stock panels and Smooth White Card Stock panels, and added another strip of Black Licorice Card Stock stamped with “Happy Birthday To You” from Totally Happy using Versamark and again embossing with White Embossing Powder.
