Plaid? How can I not have any plaid???

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! I am home sick with a wretched head cold, but I cannot sleep!! Isn't that the worst? So, while Meredith is watching Aladdin, I decided to make a card for today's Ways To Use it Challenge, WT188, which is to use plaid. After a thorough search of all my dp, I cannot believe it, but I do not have any plaid paper! I was quite stumped as to how I would pull off this challenge. I pulled out my Dad's Day set from SU!, and using the striped background, stamped it in Really Rust in one direction, and then again in the opposite direction. Instant plaid!!

From there, I decided to make this a Thanksgiving card, and I used the scarecrow image from Happy Blessings. He is watercolored with an Aquapainter and my SU! inks. I decided to put a Happy Thanksgiving sentiment inside the card as opposed to on the card front. I also decided not to use any ribbon, so I instead used some Jumbo Eyelets and added Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads in the center.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

  3. Lovely card. Thanks for comments at SCS. So you used watercolor on whisper white paper. Hmmm...I am making Thanksgiving card this weekend also, you'll have to check my gallery out and give me some honest advice.
