MFTeasers: Day Five!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!

Tonight is the release of the AMAZING new stamps and Die-Namics you've seen for the past few days from My Favorite Things!!

I have two more cards to share with you today using stamps that will be released tonight!

My first card uses the BEAUTIFUL new WTG set, My How You've Grown! This set was insanely popular when it was offered with the VIP Kit, and you can finally get it tonight if you missed out on the VIP Kit!

My dear friend Andrea is expecting a little boy in April, so I created this card for her. I chose more boyish patterns and papers, using the True Blue papers from My Minds Eye. I paper pieced her shirt and the baby's onesie using these patterns. So fun!

The layout is actually the second MFTWSC Sketch, MFTWSC2. I always print out the sketches for future reference, and these sketches are SO fun, I find myself going back to them so much!

I added some stars cut with the Die-Namics Stacking Stars Die to coordinate with the papers I used, and I also added a nice big chocolate bow. A few Baby Braddies add the perfect little embellishment!

I've finished off the inside of the card as well, and I think that this quote from Dr. Spock is PERFECT for a first time mom, "Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do". I also added a border created with the Die-Namics Star Border to tie it all together!

My second card today features the GORGEOUS Triple Scoop Set for this month, Clearly Sentimental About Parenting. I adore all of the sets in the Clearly Sentimental line, but I must admit, this one really touches me.

I thought this particular quote was SO true, and I also loved that I could incorporate the new Die-Namics Butterflies into my card to represent the wings.

I stamped the quote onto a piece of patterned paper (Paper Girl from The Girls Paperie) and then cut it out, along with the other pieces, using the fabulous Die-Namics Layered Label Die.

I cut out some butterflies with the Die-Namics Butterflies Die and added some Bisque Liquid Pearls in the centers. The border was created with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily Border and I added some lace from MFT, some twine and lots of stitching.

I chose to not put another sentiment on the inside of my card, but rather, I added more butterflies and then paper pierced their "trails".

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers previewing sets today!!

  4. Love the baby card -- beautiful color choices and the entire thing is perfect! How do you keep the inside of the star border intact? When I run mine through my CB, the inside stars are cut out.
