Hi everyone!! Happy Thursday!!
All of the new Taylored Expressions products are now available in the Fresh Out of the Oven Department!
YAY!!! I LOVE instant gratification (grin)! Today I have a card to share with you using BOTH of the new Mokas! Moka Pearl and Moka Dylan! LOVE these two cuties!!! They are both illustrated by the fabulous Nancy McKinney for the Moka Collection at Taylored Expressions! The Moka sets are all petite sets that fit perfectly in the Petite Storage Cases (you can fit 6 in each!), and of course, are made from the delish rubber that Taylored Expressions stamps are known for!
For my card today I went a little fancy and created a scene using the Stair Step Fold. I found the tutorial HERE on Splitcoast. I started with a card base and then once I had my scored folds, I added some waves using the Wave Border Taylored Die cut from two different shades of aqua cardstock. I impressed them all with the new Waves & Bubbles Taylored Impression Plate (which I LOVE...you'll be seeing alot more of this!). After I had my waves cut out and impressed I added LOTS of sparkle with Crystal Stickles.
I added some clouds with the Cloud Duo Taylored Dies on the back panel and on the front as well to anchor my sentiment panel, which reads "Have a fin-tastic birthday". How cute is that? The sentiment is from Moka Pearl!
I stamped each Moka on Choice Snow White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I made both of their tails super glittery, just like a real mermaid (lol). Here is a closeup of Moka Pearl.
And here is a closeup of Moka Dylan...he's a looker isn't he?

My second card today just makes me smile! I've used the awesome new Under The Sea set, another FABULOUS set illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expressions! This set is CHOCK full of fabulous sea creatures and hysterical, punny sentiments. As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to use the mussel and sentiments! Just TOO cute!
I started by stamping the mussels in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. This is one stamp and I simply created a few masks to stamp an entire pile of mussels! I colored them with Copic Markers and added some white highlights with a White Opaque Pen. All of the patterned paper is Paradise Beach from Echo Park Papers, and I added texture to the vertical panel using the new Waves & Bubble Taylored Impression Plate.
I used two sentiments on my card. The first, "You Can Do It" was stamped and tucked under the vertical panel, and then I stamped another sentiment, "Just Put Some Mussel Into It" (lol!!) and cut it into a little flag. I anchored it to my card with another trio of mussels stamped, colored, cut out and popped up with Foam Tape. I finished the card off with lots of stitching.
Here is a closeup of the impressed panel. LOVE it!
