Taylored Expressions July Release Party!


Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!!

Come join the party!  You'll find tasty little morsels of inspiration presented by the Baker's Dozen featuring everything that is Fresh Out of the Oven from Taylored Expressions!  The big release was yesterday, but since we are SO excited about the new goodies, the Baker's Dozen are continuing to share projects with you!!

Today I am SUPER excited to share an ADORABLE and really, SUPER fun set with you...Adventureland!!  This set was concepted by our very own totally awesome Sankari Wegman and was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions!  It's no secret that I LOVE all of Doug's sets, and this is no exception!

This was SUPER fun to make, and Meredith has already created a few cards too, which I'll share on another day.  I started by stamping the roller coaster image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers.  I cut it out and layered it onto another piece of Choice Snow White Cardstock and I separated the panels with Foam Tape for dimension.

I love the sentiment, "Life is like a roller coaster, put your hands up and enjoy the ride".  SO true, so true.  I layered this panel as well and added some Baker's Twine.  Still fighting with my Janome Sew Mini, so no stitching on this one.


All of the patterned paper is Summer Fresh by Simple Stories.  If you have any of their paper pads, you'll notice that they have several pages with accents and elements...for the award accent I simply cut it out and stamped a sentiment from Adventureland "Kid @ heart".  I think it makes for a cute accent no?

    OK Jodi, this is incredibly cute -- but I'm still afraid of roller coasters! But this is a great set for those amusement park scrapbook pages (I'm thinking). :)
