Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!  Welcome to Day 1 of Taylored Expressions Previews!

June Release At a Glance

  • Join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets, as well as a SPECIAL      Facebook GIVEAWAY, on Wednesday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.
I have two cards to share with you today!  First up is the FABULOUS new Yankee Doodle Homestead!  This is the latest offering in the Adorable Abodes series, illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line at Taylored Expressions!  Doug's sets are always so fun, and this one is no exception!  I had a blast creating this!

All of the patterned paper (Let Freedom Ring from Pebbles, Inc.), cardstock and ribbon are from the new 4th of July Project Pantry Kit!  SO fun!  I wanted a nighttime scene for my card, so I started by stamping the house in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock, colored it with Copic Markers and then cut it out.  I popped it up with Foam Tape onto a piece of navy cardstock from the kit that I stamped with the fireworks and embossed with silver embossing powder.  I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the end of each of the firework bursts.

I added a fence with the Picket Fence Taylored Die...I think it just completes the scene, don't you?  I tied the red grosgrain ribbon around the card and tied a bow with The Bow Easy I added a star cut with the new Shaped Buckles Taylored Dies (LOVE) and a tag cut with the Mini Tags Taylored Dies which I stamped with one of the sentiments from the set, "Red, White & Blue".  I tied it to the bow with some twine from my stash.

Here is a closeup of the fireworks.

Next up I have another card that I created using the 4th of July Project Pantry Kit along with the ADORABLE new Moka Betsy, just one of the new Mokas this month.  The Moka Collection is illustrated by Nancy McKinney, and we have quite a few FABULOUS guest designers today sharing the other Moka with you!  YAY!

I stamped Moka Betsy in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock, colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out.  She is popped up onto a panel of patterned paper and I added a bit ribbon from the Project Pantry Kit.  I cut a star with the new Shaped Buckles Taylored Die and added it to the ribbon and tied it with some twine.  The sentiment, "Celebrate" was stamped onto a piece of patterned paper and tucked under the focal panel, which is popped up with Foam Tape.

Here is closeup of the bow.  LOVE these new Shaped Buckles Taylored Dies!
