Hi everyone! Happy Thursday (and Happy Birthday Mom!)! Welcome to the countdown to the amazing MFT June Release! The entire new release will be available on Tuesday, June 10th at 10PM right HERE in the MFT Boutique!
Today I have two cards to share with you, and they both use the ADORABLE new Birdie Brown Every Day Is A Picnic! LOVE!
My first card uses the stamp set on it's own, and I created my scene using images from this darling new set stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto a panel of X-Press It Blending Card. I cut out the panel with the Blueprints 13 Die-Namics (I just ADORE that stitched edge...I think it really gives it the perfect little detail).
Using Eclipse Tape, I created masks for all of the images, and when I had them all masked, I used my Copic Airbrush to airbrush the sky. I then removed the masks and colored all of the images with Copic Markers. I ADORE that I can use my Copics with the new Hybrid Inks!
On the inside, I added two Smooth White panels, cut with the Blueprints 13 Die-Namics and matted with Blueprints 2 Die-Namics. I stamped a sentiment, "With you, every day is a picnic" in Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink, and the stamped three butterflies using Razzle Berry, Sour Apple and Lemon Drop Premium Dye Inks.
My second card today also uses the new Birdie Brown Every Day Is A Picnic set, and I've also used the coordinating Birdie Brown Every Day Is A Picnic Die-Namics and the new Pierced Fishtail Flags Die-Namics. The background was created with the AMAZING new Gingham Background (swoon!).
I used the Birdie Brown Every Day Is A Picnic Die-Namics to cut her out of X-Press It Blending Card, and I stamped her with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored her with Copic Markers. I popped her up with Jody Boosters onto a panel of Kraft Card Stock cut with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics.
I used the new Pierced Fishtail Flags Die-Namics to create the Nightshift Blue flag, which I placed underneath the circle focal panel. I added a Sweet Tooth Button tied with Hemp Cord. The main panel of Smooth White Card Stock was cut with the Blueprints 14 Die-Namics and stamped with the Gingham Background using Lemon Drop Premium Ink. I used Blueprints 3 Die-Namics to cut another Smooth White panel for the mat.
On the inside, I again used Blueprints 14 Die-Namics to cut the main panel and Blueprints 3 Die-Namics to cut the mat. I added another Smooth White panel stamped with the new Gingham Background using Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. I opted to not add a sentiment on this card so that I can use it for any occasion.
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to the MFT Blog for a listing of all the designers sharing projects today, and for a chance to win an MFT Gift Certificate!
