Happy Birthday {CTD309}!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!  This week, we are up to CTD309!

CTD309 Happy

I’ve combined this week’s color combo with the current Deconstructed Sketch Challenge, DS167!  So fun!  I used the super fun Happy Everything set and coordinating Happy Die-namics!  I cut the “happy” from Blu Raspberry Card Stock using the Happy Die-namics and the added a coat of Glossy Accents.  I put it to the side to dry.  All day.  I hate to wait so the one you see on my card is my second attempt.  The first attempt wound up in the trash since I was impatient and smooshed it.

I placed the glossy happy onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock and I stamped “birthday” below using Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink from Happy Everything.  The flower, from Blueprints 12 Die-namics, was cut from Sno Cone Card Stock and stamped with the Happy Birthday Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  The flower center was also coated with Glossy Accents.  I used Sour Apple Card Stock for the leaves as well as the panel underneath the Smooth White Card Stock focal panel.

The Sno Cone Card Stock panel was cut from Blueprints 1 Die-namics and I added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 2 Die-namics.  I stamped the Sno Cone panel with the Happy Birthday Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.

On the inside, I cut two panels of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics and Blueprints 2 Die-namics.  I cut another panel of Blu Raspberry Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and stamped it with the Star Background using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.  I stamped “a little bit late” using Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink.

  1. Gorgeous design and would be perfect for a masculine card as well - even with the simple flower! I always struggle with cards for men.

  2. So pretty Jodi. Love the die-cut word and the shiny finish. That little flower is so sweet. The print look great on the DP.
