Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!
It’s time for a new installment of Creative Construction With Blueprints! Wonky panels are trickier to execute than they might appear at first glance. This month’s challenge focuses on Blueprints 15 and Blueprints 18 that make creating die-cut panels with a little sass to them quick and easy.
I have two cards to share with you today! My first card features a sketch for Blueprints 15 Die-namics!
I started by cutting a panel of Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock using Blueprints 15 Die-namics, and stamped it with the Polka Dot Background using Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink. I then cut a panel of After Midnight Prestige Card Stock and layered it on top. I then added a panel of Smooth White Card Stock which I stamped using “BIRTHDAY” from Birthday Sentiments repeatedly using Limelight Premium Dye Ink.
The circle was cut from Smooth White Card Stock, and I added a heart cut from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock. The dotted strip was cut from Limelight Prestige Card Stock, and the tab panel was cut from Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock.
On the inside, I cut another panel of of Summer Splash Prestige Card Stock using Blueprints 15 Die-namics, and stamped it with the Polka Dot Background using Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink. I added a panel of Smooth White Card Stock and stamped “IT’S YOUR DAY” in Ripe Raspberry Premium Dye Ink, and “CELEBRATE” in After Midnight Premium Dye Ink, both from Birthday Sentiments.
My second card features elements from both Blueprints 15 Die-namics and Blueprints 18 Die-namics. I’ve also used the current MFT Color Challenge #16 for the color combo.
I started by cutting a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 15 Die-namics, and I stamped the sentiment, “Happy Birthday To You”, from Birthday Greetings, using several different colors, Limelight Premium Dye Ink, Lavender Fields Premium Dye Ink and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Ink. I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment panel. I LOVE selective stamping with the MISTI.
I used Blueprints 18 Die-namics to cut the Lemon Chiffon Prestige Card Stock panel and Lavender Fields Prestige Card Stock panel. I stamped the Lemon Chiffon Prestige Card Stock panel using the Star Background and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Ink. I stamped the Lavender Fields Prestige Card Stock panel using the Happy Birthday Background with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. The stars were cut with Blueprints 18 Die-namics from Limelight Prestige Card Stock and Kraft Card Stock, and I added a trio of enamel dots to finish off the front.
On the inside, I cut another two panels of Lemon Chiffon Prestige Card Stock and Lavender Fields Prestige Card Stock. I again stamped the Lavender Fields Prestige Card Stock panel using the Happy Birthday Background and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I stamped “Enjoy Your Special Day” from Birthday Greetings using Lavender Fields Premium Dye Ink.
