I am SO excited to be here today to share with you a project I created using MFT Stamps and the SUPER fun Chibitronics Chibi Lights! These are SO.MUCH.FUN to create with!!
Here is a look at my card, unlit and lit, so you can see how the tent and fire light up! How FUN is that??
Let’s get to the details! I started with a panel of X-Press It Blending Card cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics. I stamped the fox, fire and tent from Warm & Fuzzy Friends using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I then stamped them again onto Stamping Mask Paper and then trimmed them and masked them. I sponged on the “sky” using Summer Splash Premium Dye Ink, After Midnight Premium Dye Ink and Pure Plum Premium Dye Ink and then spritzed on some shimmer mist for the stars. The ground was sponged on using Kraft Premium Dye Ink, Chocolate Brown Premium Dye Ink and Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink.’
After the background was created, I removed the masks and colored the fox, fire and tent with Copic Markers. Using a craft knife, I cut out the bottom flame on the fire and the window on the tent. I added Translucent Vellum to the back of the panel over each. I went old school and used some Liquid Applique on the marshmallow Mr. Fox is holding, and then used Copic Markers to make it look toasted. This little marshmallow makes me really happy.
Once my panel was complete, I pulled out my Chibitronics Chibi Lights and got to work. The included instruction book is full of clear, easy to follow instructions. I mapped out where I wanted my battery and lights to be and then created my circuit. The kit comes with several colors of lights, and for my card, I used a yellow light in the tent, and a red light for the fire.
Once that was complete, I finished assembling my card. SO FUN! I LOVE how it looks lit up and I cannot WAIT to make more cards that light up!!
