Laundry Time!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday and Happy New Years Eve! I got out of work early today, so I thought I would stamp a bit!!

Here is my card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS, WT251, It's About Time, and also for the 1st Day of Christmas Sketch from The Greeting Farm! I seriously doubt I will be able to pull off all 12 sketches, but I thought I would start with the 1st one just in case (wink!).

For my card, I used this SUPER cute Laundry girl from the Hope & Grace series at The Greeting Farm. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored her with Copic Markers.

I cut her out with Classic Oval Nestabilities and sponged around the edges with Memento Canteloupe & Memento Tangelo. The sentiment, "Laundry Time" is a mix of two different sentiments from the brand new, and super fun, Loads of Fun set from There She Goes.

The patterned paper is a mix of Report Card and Farm Fresh by October Afternoon. I am experiencing a serious LOVE for this paper...I really can't stop using it!! I added two Cherry Brads by American Crafts to the top corner and caller her done!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Happy New Year!

Happiness...

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

Here is my card for this week's There She Goes Challenge, TSG35, which is to create a card using flowers, and also for this week's sketch challenge on SCS, SC261!

For my card, I used one of my favorite There She Goes sets, Flowers of Happiness. I started by stamping this beautiful Walt Whitman quote, "Happiness, not in another place but this place...not for another hour by this hour" in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock. I then cut out my shape with Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, and then stamped the flowers in each corner.

I sponged around the edges with Memento Canteloupe and Memento Tangelo, and colored the flowers with Copic Markers. I used Classic Red Prism Cardstock and paired with with some yummy red gingham from Farm Fresh by October Afternoon. I finished off my card with two vanilla brads and a double ribbon and all the layers were sewn with my sewing machine!!

You can get all the deets on the TSG Challenge right here! Just make a card using flowers and you can have a chance at winning a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! Bonus!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

You're Sew Sweet!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

I don't know about you, but I am pretty glad that the holidays are over! It was "go go go go" for the past few days and to be honest, I have REALLY missed my stamps...and papers...and inks...and embellies...

I FINALLY got a chance to create a bit tonight, and this is my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC54!

For my card, I stamped this SUPER sweet sewing Cuppie from Crafty Cuppie by Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

All the patterned paper is from Fresh Farm by October Afternoon, and I paper pieced the fabric in the image with the same paper. I created a border with my new Apron Lace Punch by Fiskars, and the sentiment, You're So Sweet, was cut out with Tags Trio Nestabilities and sponged, just like the main image, with Memento Canteloupe and Memento Tangelo. I used Classic Ovals and Scallop Oval Nestabilities to cut out and frame my focal cuppie!

Guess what I FORGOT to do on my sewing Cuppie card? Yep...you guessed it...SEW...can you say DUH???? LOL!!!

I finished this off with three red brads on my focal image and some yummy ribbon I picked up at my lss over the weekend with some birthday moolah!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Off to blog hop a bit...I have been SO out of the loop!!

I had a blast with this sketch, and for my card, I used Hannah Lollipop from Stamping Bella! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

The patterned paper is the delish Farm Fresh from October Afternoon, and I used a piece to paper piece her dress as well. She is too darling!!

The sentiment, "Hi There", is from Essential Sentiments from My Favorite Things, and the buttons are from the Vintage Button Collection from Papertrey Ink!!

All I Want For Christmas Is...Edward!!

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Twi-Day! I doubt anyone will play along today, but I wanted to give Edward a little love on Christmas!!!

For my card today, I used Mercy's Sketch #2 from Splending Stamping With The Greeting Farm!

I started by stamping Edward, the Wild Sprout from The Greeting Farm, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and I colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out with Oval Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

The patterned paper is Good Cheer by October Afternoon and I added a scalloped border of Choice Buttercream on either side using my Scallop Edge Punch.

The "All I Want For Christmas Is" is from Fairy Good Day by There She Goes, and the "Edward" is from Otherworldly Love by Stamp Insanity!

I finished this off with a triple ribbon (Edward deserves three ribbons don't you think?) and some Ruby Red Brads!

One of my all time favorite Edward quotes comes from New Moon:

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars—points of light and reason… And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything."
- Edward Cullen
Thanks SO much for stopping by and I hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas! I am sure, by the time this posts, I will be sitting amidst wrapping paper as Meredith plows through all of her presents from Santa!!

There She Goes Blog Hop - Loads of Fun!!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday and Happy Christmas Eve!!

Today is the last day of Blog Hops for the newest There She Goes release!! Today, the Trendsetters get to share a DARLING new set with you, Loads of Fun!! You should have made your way here from Jessie's Blog!

I must admit, I had loads of fun creating these cards, and I am sure this set will make it onto your "must have" list!!

Each Friday in the There She Goes Forum, we have Friday Night Chat! It was during one of these chats that the idea for this set was born! Jessica really went to town and I can't wait for you all to see the images and sentiments in this set! DARLING!!

Once again, I created two cards! For my first card, I started by stamping the washer and dryer in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with a Circle Nestie and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe. I added some Glossy Accents to the window on the washer as well as on the bottle of detergent!

All the papers on this card are from October Afternoon, and I used a combo of Report Card and Farm Fresh. I have had the brads in my stash FOREVER, and I also used a double ribbon (just one ribbon looks plain to me now...I have issues!). The sentiment on this card CRACKS me up...
"Around here, 'Normal' is just a setting on the washing machine"! LOL!!

For my second card, I stamped this TOTALLY adorable wash line in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut the image out with Rectangle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe (once again...shocker, I know!). I also stamped and colored the laundry basket and cut it out and popped it up on Foam Tape.

The patterned paper on this card is Lemonade from Basic Grey, and I used Prism Cardstock again, Frosted Teal and Razzleberry Medium.

Once again, a double ribbon finished off my card, and I added two white brads to the top left corner. The sentiment, "Wanna Hang Out" was accentuated with some paper piercing!

The next stop on this Loads of Fun Hop is at Maki's Blog!!

How would you like a chance to win your very own Loads of Fun set? It's easy to get that chance! Simply hop along the blog hop and comment on each of the Trendsetter's Loads of Fun posts!! There She Goes Blog Hop - Garden of Friends!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the 2nd day of Blog Hops for the newest There She Goes release!! You should have made your way here from Jessie's Blog!

Today, the Trendsetters get to show you sneak peeks of an AMAZING new set called Garden of Friends! Jessica has done it again and has created a stunning floral set!!

The images and sentiments in this set are just beautiful. I have two cards to share with you today! On one, I colored the image with Copic Markers, and on the other, I stamped the image in colored ink! I wanted to show you how versatile this set is!

For my first card, I began by stamping this GORGEOUS vase of flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out with Labels 9 Nestabilities and while the cardstock was in the nestie, I sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe (I have been doing this ALL the time lately...I think it's my newest "thing").

This image was so fun to color, and I knew I wanted purple to feature heavily on my card, so I went with a Buttercream/Wizard Medium combo. I love this color by Prism...it's more of a plum than a purple! Yummy!! The Buttercream panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the D'Vine Swirl Embossing Folder and I also sponged the raised design with Memento Canteloupe.

On my center panel, I stamped some of the flowers in Perfect Plum onto the Wizard Medium Cardstock. I added some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the top corner as well as both sides of the sentiment, "In a garden of friends...Happiness grows", which was punched out with my Word Window Punch. I finished this off with some White Gel Pen highlights on the flowers and the vase, as well as a double ribbon of Very Vanilla Taffeta, one of which I colored purple with a Copic Marker!

For my second card, I went with a graphic look! I decided I wanted a fun color combo, so I went with Intense Orange, Rose Dark and Choice White Cardstock. I started by stamping three different images from Garden of Friends in Memento Tangelo, Memento Rose Bud & Memento Pear Tart.

I added some fun Polka Dot Ribbon to make the colors pop, and the sentiment, "Thinking Of You" was stamped and punched from a 1 Inch Circle Punch and placed under the ribbon.

The center of EACH of the flowers in each cluster have a dot of Diamond Stickles. You can't really tell in the photograph, but it's super sparkly in real life!!

The next stop on the Garden of Friends Hop is over at Julie's Blog!

How would YOU like a chance at winning your very own set of Garden of Friends? It's easy to get that chance! Hop along the blog hop and comment on each of the Trendsetter's Garden of Friends post! When you are done, head on over to the TSG Blog and leave your name in Mr. Linky for the Garden of Friends Challenge! One lucky winner will be randomly chosen to win their own set of Garden of Friends!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Make sure to head back tomorrow at a peek at a SUPER fun set!

It's a TSG Sale Hop!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Welcome to the first day of Blog Hops for the newest There She Goes release!! You should have made your way here from Jessie's Blog!

Today, some of the Trendsetters are hopping to celebrate the TSG Changing of the Seasons Winter Sale!!! There are FIVE sets on sale at There She Goes:
Act of Kindness, Branching Out, Fairy Good Day, Here For You and Spread Your Wings!

I decided to play with Fairy Good Day for today's hop! This is one of my all time favorite TSG sets!!

Instead of making a "fairy" card per se, I decided to make this little sweetie into a Candy Cane Fairy for Christmas!!

I started by stamping her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I sponged around the cardstock while it was in the Circle Nestie to give it a bit of dimension.

The patterned paper on the card and paper pieced in her wings is from Good Cheer by October Afternoon!! The sentiment is a mix of two different sentiments from Fairy Good Day and I cut and layered it on the card for some interest.

A bit of piercing and a double ribbon finish this one off! This fairy always makes me smile!!

The next stop on this Changing of the Seasons' Sale Hop is at Maki's Blog!!

How would you like a chance to win one of the sets that are on sale at There She Goes right now? Well, it's easy to get that chance! Comment on all the Trendsetter's cards today and when you are done, head on over to the TSG Blog and leave your name in Mr. Linky for this challenge! One lucky winner will be randomly chosen and will have their choice of one of the 5 sets that are on sale! Good luck!!

Pursue Happiness!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, FS150, She's Benzi-riffic, which honors Brenda!!

Brenda has a great gallery, and I finally chose to case her StampinB, Background Silhouette Card.

I love the silhouette stamp she used and how she stamped it on Kraft, which is something I always love the look of but never do myself!!

For my card, I also used a silhouette stamp, this beautiful floral image from Discover Your Wings by Taylored Expressions. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Kraft Cardstock. I matted it with Black Cardstock and used a Martha Stewart Border on the bottom.

I added some color to mine instead of patterned paper like Brenda did, and I went with Melon Mambo. I really love the pop of it against the Kraft and Black. I went with a ribbon knot of a fun Black Polka Dot from Taylored Expressions. I added some Kaiser Rhinestones to either end of my "Pursue Happiness" sentiment, which is also from Discover Your Wings, and I also added some of the same rhinestones to the center of the flowers. I wanted them to have a more matchy look, so I colored them with a Black Copic Marker. You can do this to any color you have and make it match your project! Fun!!!

Instead of a monogram, I decided to use a butterfly, also from Discover Your Wings, and I stamped it in Melon Mambo onto Melon Mambo Cardstock and then cut it out and popped it up on Foam Tape. More colored rhinestones finish off the butterfly as well!!

Don't forget, Discover Your Wings is the most recent stamp set in the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree Charity, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this set will benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!! OH! And one more thing!! There is a Design Team Call going on right now to be part of The Sugar Babies, the sketch team for The Sweet Stop!! You can get all the info right here!

Happy Birthday from The King

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!

Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS, IC211, FabulousStationary! What a great site!! I was inspired by all the graphic, abstract designs in THIS catagory!

My mom asked me to make a card for her friend's Birthday. She is an avid Elvis fan, so I pulled out this Stamp Camp image I have had FOREVER, called Double Trouble.

I stamped Elvis four times in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored each one with Copic Markers, reversing the colors on the backgrounds and his jacket.

I wanted to keep in line with the abstract look, so I went with all primary colors, which is totally out of my comfort zone!

The polka dot paper is from Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket. I LOVE how the polka dots look with all the Elvis blocks!!'

I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to each of the four corners, and they are the only embellishments on my card.

I did finish the inside of my card...I needed to put "Happy Birthday" somewhere right?? A strip of the same paper inside makes it cohesive with the front, and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the new Holiday Tags set from There She Goes.

Thank you...thank you very much (lol!) for stopping by!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Double Trouble by Stamp Camp & Holiday Tags by There She Goes
Paper: Classic Red, Basic Black, Choice Snow White & Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket

Season's Sweetings!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!

Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge at The Sweet Stop, SSS35!! Today's sketch is a Sketch with A Spin, and you have to make a pocket card! Fun!!

For my card, I started with a Riding Hood Red Base and used some YUMMY Good Cheer paper from October Afternoon!!!

I stamped this SUPER adorable Cuppie (she is one of my favorites!!) from Seasons Sweetings from Taylored Expressions in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I paper pieced her *cuppie liner* with the same Good Cheer paper I used on the card.

The sentiment, "Season's Sweetings" is from the same set and is layered on Large & Scallop Oval Punches. I finished off my card with some Kaiser Rhinestones and Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon!! There is an open pocket on the top of my green polka dot panel, a fun little spot to add a gift card!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday again!!

Please scroll down one post, or click **HERE** for my Twi-Day card...Paging Dr. Cullen!!

Here is my card for this week's Bellarific Friday, which was to use sewing, real or faux, on your card!!

For my card, I used the UBER cute new Jinglebella from Stamping Bella and I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock.

All the patterned paper on my card is from Good Cheer by October Afternoon. I am going to miss this paper so I am sure I will be using it ALOT in the next week!!!

The sentiment is from Holiday Wonder by Taylored Expressions and I love how perfect it is with this sassy gal!!

Jinglebella is colored with Copic Markers and I gave all her trim some glitz with a two way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.

All the layers were sewn on my sewing machine (I {heart} my sewing machine) and I finished it off with a double ribbon and some brads!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Paging Dr. Cullen...

Hi everyone! Happy Twi-Day!!!

This is the 2nd week of my Twi-Day Challenge (to myself...and you too if you want to join in!) and I realized that with all the Twilight inspired cards I have made, I have not featured our favorite vampire Dad, Carlisle!!!

My absolute FAVORITE Carlisle quote comes from New Moon when he is stitching Bella's arm and they are discussing Edwards soul:

"I look at my… son. His strength, his goodness, the brightness that shines out of him—and it only fuels that hope, that faith, more than ever. How could there not be more for one such as Edward?"
- Carlisle Cullen

That always gives me the chills!! For my card today, I used the new limited edition digi from The Greeting Farm, Dressy Daniel (aka Carlisle!) and I printed him onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out with Rectangle Nestabilities and keeping the nestie on the paper, sponged the edges with Memento Canteloupe.

The sentiment, "Doctor's Orders: Rest, Relax, Recover" is from Doctor's Orders from Taylored Expressions! I know I would LOVE to receive a Carlisle card if I were feeling under the weather!!!

I used Basic Grey, Baja Breeze and Choice Snow White on my card, and the patterned paper is Walk In The Park from SU!. I finished off my card with some Vintage Brads and a double ribbon of Baja Breeze Striped and Basic Grey Taffetta. I ran the Baja Breeze cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Herringbone Embossing Folder (Thanks Connie!!!)

This was a SUPER fun card to make! If you make a Twi-Day creation, please link it if you comment on my post! I would LOVE to check it out!!! Maybe I can make this an "Official Challenge" (grin!)

Fa la la la la!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!!! I have realized (I think I was in denial) that I still need ALOT of Christmas Cards...and yikes, the big day is almost here!!!

For my card today, I used the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge from last Friday, TESC94!

I masked and stamped this darling caroling Cuppie from Home Sweet Home by Taylored Expressions three times in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and cut them out with Rectangle Nestabilities. While the cardstock was in the nestie, I sponged Memento Canteloupe around the edges to soften it. All the cuppies were colored with Copic Markers.

The delish paper is from Good Cheer by October Afternoon. I LOVE the music paper...totally perfect for my caroling cuppies no?

The sentiment, "Fa la la la la", also from Home Sweet Home, was stamped onto Choice Buttercream again and I used an SU! Label die to cut it out. I also sponged Memento Canteloupe around the edges of the tag. I attached the tag with a Vintage Button from PTI and some yummy satin ribbon from my friend Danielle Lounds! I finished off the card with two Old Olive Brads!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Fa la la la la!!

You Are Unique!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

My big win from Stamping Bella arrived yesterday (holy FAST shipping Batman!), and I couldn't wait to ink up some new rubbah!!

Of course, the first stamp I had to use is Meredith the Tea Cup Girl, and I made this card for my sweet 3 year old daughter, Meredith!!! I often make her cards and leave them on her nightstand so she sees them when she gets up! For a three year old, she knows what she likes, so I can't wait to see what she says about this one!!

**Edited to Add**
Meredith saw this card when she woke up this morning, came in the kitchen and told me that she prefers cards with cats or dogs on it...classic!

I stamped Meredith the Tea Cup Girl in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. She was oodles of fun to color!!

The sentiment, "You Are Unique" is from, you guessed it, You Are Unique, also from Stamping Bella, and I created a little tag for it and rounded the corners with a corner rounder punch.

All the patterned paper is from Farm Fresh by October Afternoon, which I clearly am unable to put down! I sewed all the layers on my sewing machine and added some brads by American Crafts!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!!

Stressed Spelled Backwards

...is desserts!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is a card I made for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG33, Layers!!!

I LOVE layers, and I have only made one layer cards twice, maybe three times! I am a layer lover so I was ALL over today's challenge!!

For my card, I started by stamping this SUPER cute ice cream cone from the Ice Cream Mini Set by There She Goes in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock! I LOVE this mini set because you can stamp as many scoops on your cone as you want! I cut out my image with Classic Oval Nestabilities and while the cardstock was in the Nestie, I sponged around the edge with Memento Canteloupe to give it some dimension.

I colored my ice cream cone with Copic Markers and both the strawberry and pistachio scoops (grin!) were coated with Crystal Transparent Glitter by Art Institute Glitter. I used a two glue pen to adhere the glitter as I find I have the most control that way.

My horizontal panel is a piece of the super yummy Farm Fresh paper by October Afternoon, and my Frosted Pink (Prism) panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots Embossing Folder.

I added some Basic Grey Brads and my sentiment, "Stressed spelled backwards is desserts", was stamped onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and cut out with the Lots of Labels die from SU! I stamped the cherry from the Ice Cream Mini Set VERY lightly on my sentiment tab in Memento Angel Pink, and they were also stamped on my Frosted Pink panel before it was embossed. I finished off my card with a double ribbon of Pink Pirouette Striped & Chocolate Twill.

You can count my layers...I wound up with 8 on my card altogether!!! Why not play along with the challenge? Create a card using LOTS of layers and when you are done, link your card in Mr. Linky for this challenge at the There She Goes Blog! One lucky winner will receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the There She Goes Store! Score!!

Happy Twi-Day?

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

Ever since I did my two week countdown to New Moon, I have really missed making Twilight inspired cards! I have decided (and let's hope I can keep up with it!), to make a Twilight inspired card each Friday...which in Jodi-world, is now known as TWI-Day!!

I know that LOTS of you stampers out there have Twilight stamps...why not join me? I thought Friday would be a great day as I LOVE Fridays (well...I love Fridays AFTER 5:00 PM!! -grin!).

For my first card, which is also for today's Bellarific Friday, to use bling on your card (did you see I won the ENTIRE new Stamping Bella release??? Thanks SOOOOO much Em!!!) I used the UBER cute Betty Bookworm. Now, as soon as I saw this image, I, (a) knew I *had* to have her, and (b) wanted to make her "me" sitting on all my Twilight Series books! Look closely and you will see the names of each book in the series, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse (that's what she is reading) and Breaking Dawn.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copics. For the bling, I added two Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to her ears as earrings and made her headband and eyeglass frames shiny with a Clear Spica Glitter Pen. The paper is the retired Summer Picnic from SU! The sentiment, "Twilighter and not ashamed" is from Stamp Insanity.

For my second card today, I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday.

I started with this ADORABLE limited edition Digi Stamp from The Greeting Farm, Dressy Odette (Is she not THE most perfect Esme ever???), and I printed her onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out with Circle Nestabilities. As is my new habit, I kept the cardstock in the nestie and sponged around the edges with Pale Plum and then Perfect Plum SU! ink.

I chose a quote from Twlight for my card today when Bella and Esme were talking about Bella and Edward's relationship. Here is what Esme says:

"You're what he wants. It will work out, somehow"

I printed the quote onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, and I used Wizard Dark Cardstock from Prism and the patterned paper is (I think) from My Minds Eye!

I finished off my card with four Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on my Esme panel and some piercing! Other than that, there are NO other embellishments on my card!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please let me know if you are excited about Twi-Day and want to play along!

Hi everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Here is my card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC51!!

For my card, I used the brand new, and UBER adorable, Crafty Cuppie set from Taylored Expressions!!! I LOVE this set...truly I do!!

I cut out the image with Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, and keeping the cardstock in the nestie, I sponged around the edges with Memento Canteloupe and then Memento Tangelo.

All the patterned paper on my card is from Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday line, and I used it to paper piece Cuppie's apron as well! Did you know about the brand new Card Kits from Taylored Expressions? You can see the one I used right HERE. You can't beat the price and I LOVE the papers!!!

I also added some Raspberry Ribbon and Vanilla Brads from my stash to finish off my card, and the sentiment, "Inky Hugs" was stamped directly onto my Intense Kiwi panel!!

My SCS Tutorial!!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!

With all the exciting new releases I have been lucky enough to share with you recently, I haven't had a chance to show you all my tutorial for Splitcoaststampers!!!!! You can check out the full tutorial with step by step instructions and a video by Beate (yes...THE Beate!!!) right here!

Earlier this year, I went to a SU! meeting and got to meet Christina Crawford. At the meeting, she showed us all a card purse that she created, and that was the basis for my tutorial!!

For my Card Purse and cards, I used the FABULOUS (and back in stock!) Penguin Love set from There She Goes!!! This set is ADORABLE and I love to use it!!!

The colors for my set all came from this DELISH paper, Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey! For the focal panel on my Card Purse, I started by stamping the penguin, and I then masked him to stamp the igloo. I colored the entire image with Copic Markers and I added Dazzling Diamonds to the ground and the snow on the igloo using a glue pen. I made a sentiment tag with the sentiment, "Happy Holidays", which is also from Penguin Love. I kept the set of cards SUPER simple (which is a style I have been really enjoying lately!). I used the same patterned paper and the same Penguin Love stamp set and stamped the sentiment, "You Warm My Heart", also from Penguin Love, directly onto my Choice Snow White card base.

I hope you take a look at my tutorial and try it for yourself! It's SUPER easy and makes a great hostess or holiday gift!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!

Happy Bird-Day!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!

Here is my card for today's challenge on the There She Goes Blog, TSG32, which is to make a tag!!

I chose to make a tag along with a matching card! I never seem to have enough birthday cards in my stash, so I knew I wanted to make a birthday card and tag combo!!

I used TWO brand new sets from There She Goes for my card and tag combo, Birdie Wishes and Holiday Tags! As you can see, these sets are NOT just for the holidays!!!

I started by first stamping my bird and balloon images onto Choice Snow White Cardstock. I used Rich Razzleberry from SU!, and Memento Canteloupe, Memento Tangelo and Memento Cottage Ivy for the Balloons.

I cut out the little scenes with Circle Nestabilities, and while the cardstock was still in the nestie, I sponged around the edges, first with Soft Sky by SU! and then by Cool Caribbean by SU!

On my tag, I stamped the "To" and "From" from Holiday Tags in Rich Razzleberry from SU! and I layered it with a Rich Razzleberry cut with Blossom Nestablities.

For my card, I did the same sponging and layered the focal image with Blossom Nestabilities. The patterned paper is Razzleberry Lemonade from SU! and I added piercing all around the edge.

I added the sentiment. "Happy Birthday" from Holiday Tags onto my focal panel with Rich Razzleberry ink (I just curved the stamp to match the lines of my circle nestie before I stamped it). I added Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the setiment and to the edges of my Cool Caribbean panel (which was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder).

I even finished off the inside of my card (shocker right?) with the "Wishing You A Very Happy Bird Day" sentiment from Birdie Wishes and I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, cut it out with Circle Nestabilities, sponged it again and layered the panel with Rich Razzleberry Blossom Nestabilities.

We would love you to play along and make a tag (or a tag/card combo - smile!) of your own!! To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a tag and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of the challenge post. The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

You Warm My Heart!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

After taking care of my sick little one for the past two days, I guess it was inevitable that I would get sick too! I did manage to make a card (I colored her yesterday though!), so this came together fast (now I can get back to the couch!! LOL!!)

This card is for my friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC47 as well as for the color challenge over at Splendid Stamping With The Greeting Farm Blog, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze & White (I went with Buttercream as my Anya was already on that...shhh!)

For my card, I used this super cute digi from The Greeting Farm, Miss Anya Autum, and I printed her on Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and popped her up on Foam Tape on top of my Baja Breeze panel, which was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

The sentiment, which is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black directly onto the Kiwi Kiss panel, is "You Warm My Heart" and is from A Year of Sweet Sentiments from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the snowflake from Holidays Tags from There She Goes in Kiwi Kiss ink all over my Kiwi Kiss panel as well.

The border is a Martha Stewart punch and I finished off my card with some Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon and three brads from American Crafts.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
