Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks ROCK!!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today is the first day of sneak peeks for the newest (and totally amazing) Taylored Expressions release!!!

Today, the Baker's Dozen get to share peeks of a ROCKIN' new set with you called You're My Hero! This set is AMAZING and I must say, my stamp collection (vast as it is...grin!) was SERIOUSLY lacking a rockin' set like this that is perfect for my nieces and nephews as well as my husband and people my own age!

You're My Hero is the newest set in the TE Giving Tree program! $7.00 from each set sold will be donated to CureSearch, the world's largest childhood cancer research organization. This set was inspired by, and is honor of, Darrin Zimmerman, Taylor's 10 year old neighbor that passed away from cancer last fall. You can read more about Darrin on Taylor's Blog today.

Like all TE Giving Tree sets, You're My Hero is unmounted so as to pass on more proceeds to CureSearch. I must admit, while I LOVE to color (and there are AWESOME images to color in this set!), I have been LOVING silhouette stamps lately as well, and this set has the COOLEST stamps!!

For my card, I started with the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge from last week, TESC102, and I stamped this AWESOME guitar dude in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Teen Angst patterned paper by We Are Memory Keepers. This paper, and ALL the cardstock and ALL the embellies on my card are part of the Rockstar Key Ingredients, also being released on Friday! I also stamped an AWESOME design behind my rocker in an array of Memento Inks to softly accent the paper!

Now, I know I say this ALL the time (and just wait...I'll say it tomorrow too!), but I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this Key Ingredients! The colors, papers and embellishments are TOTALLY cool! I had SO much fun playing with this KI...I will be using it ALOT in the coming weeks!!

I used a Spiral Punch and punched the edge of my focal panel and then distressed same. I ran my cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Herringbone Embossing Folder and all the layers were sponged and distressed as well.

I pulled out my embossing gun (shocker!) for this card too! I stamped the guitar and the "Rock" sentiment in Versamark and then embossed both with Silver Embossing Powder. The black cardstock tab that "Rock" is stamped on is also part of the Rockstar Key Ingredients...LOVE that!!

I cut out the guitar, popped it up on Foam Tape, and I added three glitter brads (also part of the Rockstar KI) and a double ribbon loop (also part of the Rockstar KI) and called it done!

I had a BLAST making this card! It was SOOO much fun! The images and sentiments (and the fonts are SO cool too!) in this set make it a must have for sure!!

Check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen (including our two new AWESOME Bakers!) have done with this ROCKIN' set!!
