Here is my card for today's Sketch For You To Try! There are some changes coming up the pike, and this week we are changing things up a bit! There is no sketch for this week, but the challenge is to choose one of your favorite SFYTT sketches from the past and create a new card with it!! Fun!
I have to be honest...the main reason I chose to work with this sketch again was because of the rectangle panel. I have been hoarding these bingo cards for ages and REALLY wanted to finally use one on a card!
For my card today, I pulled all of the colors from the bingo card, which is from Jenni Bowlin. I didn't use ANY patterned paper on my card...I can't remember the last time I made a card without it!I stamped this ADORABLE Pure Innocence Birthday Princess from My Favorite Things in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press Blending Card and cut out and embossed the panel with Circle Nestabilities. I colored her with Copic Markers and sponged around the edge with Memento Cantaloupe and Memento Tangelo. Her crown and the candles on her cake were glitzed up with some Crystal Fine Glitter from Martha Stewart.
The sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is also from Pure Innocence Birthday Princess. I stamped the "Celebrate" from this set in Bashful Blue onto the Spring Rain panels for some interest. The Summer Sunrise panel was embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I added three red brads on the bottom as per the sketch and called it done!
Please check out what my SFYTT sisters have created right here!
