I am the featured Trendsetter this week on the There She Goes Blog, and I have a post there today for Wednesday Trends! I talk about creating a frame around an image using Nestabilities and my card is the finished product of that tutorial! I hope you'll go and have a look!
I had SO much fun making this card! I started by stamping this DARLING penguin from the newly released Penguin Pals in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X Press It Blending Card cut and embossed the panel with Square Nestabilities. I stamped the sentiment, "Ho Ho Ho", also from Penguin Pals, in the lower corner, and then put the die back on the cardstock and traced the inside of the Square Nestabilities with a Copic Multiliner, leaving a bit of space on either side of the sentiment. I sponged the top portion of the panel with Soft Sky ink.
I colored him with Copic Markers and added some Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter to his hat and the ground beneath his feet. I just love his expressions...these penguins are the cutest I've seen!
The patterned paper is from Snow Day by Crate Paper, and I embossed the background with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder. I added a border using the Die-Namics Open Scallop Die from MFT and white brads in the top and bottom corners. I finished this off with, you guessed it, another stitched bow that I created with the Bow Easy!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!
