Here is a card I created using one of the newly released (and totally fabulous) stamp sets from There She Goes, Sentimental Thank You! Did you know that this set, and the first set, Sentimental, feature the handwriting of our own Julie Lacey? I LOVE her handwriting!
I have to admit, sometimes, it's really just NICE to create a card without coloring. I had alot of fun putting this one together!
I used this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS for my layout, SC318. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this sketch, but once I decided for a more minimal look, it came together quickly.
I stamped the "You're So Thoughtful" from Sentimental Thank You in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and cut it out and embossed it with Labels 9 Nestabilities and then sponged the edges with Memento Cantaloupe & Memento Tangelo. I then sewed around the edge (which I obviously need to practice...) and attached it to the main panel with Foam Tape.
The patterned paper is Curio from Basic Grey and I added a felt rose cut with the Die-Namics Mini Rolled Roses Die and the leaves from the Die-Namics Flower and Leaf Trio Die. I added a pearl in the center of the flower. I also added a crystal swirl that I just picked up at Michaels and sewed around the edge of the panel panel with my sewing machine.
Did you know that if you love my card, or any of the Trendsetters cards from this week, you can have a chance at winning one? Each Sunday on the There She Goes Blog you will find the "Week In Review & Card Give Away". Simply leave a comment and if you are chosen, you pick whichever card you would like! Cool right?
Thanks SO much for stopping by!!
