Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
It's week 22 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!
We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher.
If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011. Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery. Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC22 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, June 7th to play along.
What a fun sketch this is! I was itching to use a Pure Innocence set, so I pulled out the darling Pure Innocence Crazy For Daisies from My Favorite Things and got to work! I stamped this cutie in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I used October Afternoon Modern Homemaker paper on this card (the daisies were perfect!) and paper pieced her dress with the yellow polka dot pattern. I cut out and embossed the focal panel with Circle Nestabilities, taking care to cut the daisies so that they are "out of the box".
I sewed all of the layers before attaching them to my card, and for the horizontal panel on the sketch, I cut a piece of Wild Cherry Cardstock with the Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics and then layered it with the Scalloped Scallops Die-Namics. I added some Lemondrop Yellow Baker's Twine and a daisy created with the Rolled Daisy Die-Namics and added a cardstock button created with the Button Quartet Die-Namics and some more twine. Of course, tons of machine stitching finish off the front.
For the inside of the card, I used some more of the same Modern Homemaker paper, tons more stitching, and added a sentiment from Pure Innocence Crazy For Daisies, "I'm crazy for daisies - and you!". LOVE that!
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head on over to Kim's Blog for a listing of all the designers with samples of this sketch today!
