I have two cards to share with you today, and I just LOVE both of these sets...I have a feeling that you will as well! They are SO cute!
First up to bat is a DARLING set, Green Acres, which was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Line at Taylored Expressions! This is a full sized set on a 5.75 X 8.5 full color sturdy storage panel and includes 24 DARLING farm images and punny sentiments that can be used for SO many different occassions. This set is PERFECT when you need a masculine or humorous card, aside from general cards like Birthday or thank you!
I had SO much fun with this set! I started by stamping the barn and farmer in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut out the farmer and popped him up over the barn with Foam Tape.
The patterned paper is Hometown Summer from Pink Paislee, and the Kraft panel was embossed with the AWESOME Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate (my favorite new item for sure!)! To ensure a perfect impression every time, you may want to pick up the Embossing Pad Kit! It works with Impression Plates and Taylored Dies!
I stamped the "Oh Crop" sentiment (lol) and cut it out with Oval Nestabilites and layered it with Scallop Oval Nestabilities. I added another sentiment under the focal panel, "sorry it's pasture birthday" (lol). LOVE that!! I used some embroidery thread and wrapped it around the card before attaching the oval sentiment panel. Tons of machine stitching finish this off. OMG...I LOVE this card!
Here is the Impression Plate I've used on my card:
For my second card, I've used the SUPER adorable Uncle Sam! This is another Penguin Petite illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and it includes a set of 5 stamps on a sturdy 3 X 5.5 full color storage panel.
I started with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch, DS3, for the layout. I stamped this DARLING penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored him with Copic Markers. All of the patterned paper is a mix of Seaside and 5 & Dime from October Afternoon. I used the Stars Impression Plate on the red background for some more pop (love) and added a border to the blue polka dot panel with the Small Scallop Border Die.
The sentiment, "Let Freedom Ring" was cut out with Circle Nestabilities and then layered with Scallop Circle Nestabilities. I added a simple bow and some blue baubles and called it done (after I sewed of course!).
Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on this card:
Meredith was SO excited to once again be a Tiny Chef! She worked with the FABULOUS new Kid's Summer Fun Pack for her project this month!
Here is a picture of her with her set of three finished cards. She loves the Moka Collection just as much as I, so she made a set of three cards featuring the three new additions to the Moka Collection, Moka Lani, Moka Jack and Moka Charlotte!
Here is her set of cards! She did these ALL by herself (except for cutting out the focal images and sentiments with Nestabilities and the Grand Calibur!). I even let her use my Copic Markers...she is really good with them!
Please check out what the rest of the AMAZING Baker's Dozen have cooked up for you today!
and, of course, TaylorVan Bruggen
