MFT July Release Blog Hop & Shop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday and Happy MFT Release Day!

I hope you've arrived here from Kim's Blog so we can get this hop started!  I am SO excited to be able to share another peek at the new WTG set, released tonight from My Favorite Things, Who's That Mermaid?  LOVE her!!

I had alot of fun creating this card.  I used some new papers I picked up, Beach Babe from Fancy Pants Designs, and used three different patterns on my card.  I added a Fossil border using the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics, and the sentiment, "I've Flipped For You" was stamped on a panel cut with the brand new File Tab Die-Namics (LOVE).

Who's That Mermaid was colored with Copic Markers, and I added Crystal Stickles to her outfit/tail, the bubbles as well as the sea grass and coral.  A crystal flourish adds even more bling and tons of stitching finish off the front.

Here is a close up of the "sand".  After coloring it with Copic Markers, I put some Colorless Blender on a piece of textured paper towel and dabbed it over the "sand" for some texture.  I love the result!

Being the front is so very sparkly, I went super simple with the inside.  Some more Beach Babe paper and another sentiment, "Just wanted to drop you a line" is all that is needed.
