MFT August Release Blog Hop & Shop!

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday and Happy MFT Release night! Wahoo!

Did you start the hop at Kim's Blog?  Please head on over there so you don't miss a single enabling situation, er, gorgeous creation.  LOL!!

I am SO very excited about this entire new release, but I am especially excited about Pure Innocence Karate Girl and Karate Boy, both of which were my concept!!  Seriously, when I first saw them I got a bit teary.

At my LSS, I picked up this fun photo tray and thought I would use these two new sets and create a Tae Kwon Do keepsake for my Meredith's room!  I am happy to report that she LOVES it!  Now...we just need Daddy to hang it up!

As you can see, there are six 4x6 openings in this photo tray.  I added three pictures of Meredith at various belt promotion tests (she is now a green belt).  Her favorite is the one of top (which has a glare from my camera...grrr) of her and Master Eric, her instructor.  My favorite is the one of her and Kanani, her American Girl doll, in matching uniforms.  Isn't she a pumpkin?

After adding my three photos, I had three slots to fill.  Here is what I did on each of these three:

First up, I stamped Pure Innocence Karate Boy AND Karate Girl, and I cut off his head and replaced it with the one from Karate Girl (sounds sadistic when I put it that way!).  I colored "her" with Copic Markers and cut her out.  I was SO inspired by Frances and a card she made with a cloud background, that I did that as well (thank you Frances...you rock!) and I started with a Berrylicious (currently being restocked)  panel and embossed it with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I added tons of clouds cut with the Cloud Die-Namics (currently being restocked) out of Whip Cream Cardstock, as well as grass cut with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-Namics out of Sour Apple Cardstock.  I used the Say What? Die-Namics to create the word bubble and stamped "Pow Pow".

I stamped Karate Girl six extra times, colored only her top and colored all the belts different colors.  I cut out the shirts and strung them up in a little banner on each side (I kinda love that).

For the other panel, I used the same background, and this time added Pure Innocence Karate Girl after I colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out.  I used the Say What? Die-Namics again to add the word bubble and stamped "Thank You Sir".

For the last panel, I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics and the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics to create a "Future Black Belt" award.  I added another shirt and this time colored the belt black.  I tucked that under the sentiment panel.

Here are all the Die-Namics I've used on this project:

Next stop on this hop is at the AMAZING Frances Blog!  I am sure she has something gorgeous for you to swoon over!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!
