Hi everyone!! Happy Saturday! Today is day 4 of MFTeasers! Are you loving what you've seen so far? This new release from My Favorite Things is AH-mazing...so let's get to more peeks shall we?
I have two peeks for you today, and my first card features the FABULOUS new Homespun Birdhouse and Die-Namics set! LOVE LOVE LOVEDY LOVE! The Die-Namics that come with this set are OUT of this world!!!
For my card, I started by cutting my birdhouse. I cut it out of both Hot Fudge Cardstock and some birchwood paper from my stash. I embossed the birch panel with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder for some texture and then assembled the birdhouse.
All of the patterned paper is All Spice from My Minds Eye and love how "fallish" it feels. I used the AMAZING new Woodgrain Fence Die-Namics (love love love this too...the texture is AMAZING) to separate my patterns of paper, and stamped a sentiment from Homespun Birdhouse, "Love Lives Here" onto a panel cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics. I added a layered flower cut with the new Prima Donna Petals Die-Namics (do I need to tell you how much I love this one too? Nope...didn't think so!). Some stitching on my machine and some brads complete the front.
On the inside, I added some more patterned paper, separated with a border cut with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-Namics, as well as a heart cut with the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics, which I pierced a bit on one side for texture. The sentiment, "Home is where my heart is" was stamped, replacing the word "heart" with the die cut heart.
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
My second card today features another FABULOUS stamp set/Die-Namics combo...First Class Friend! I had so much fun with this!!!
I started by cutting out my postage "tag" with the new First Class Friend Die-Namics. I cut it twice, once out of Hot Fudge Cardstock, for the frame, and again from the patterned paper I used, Blush from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Two, for the center. I stamped several stamps from this set in Memento Tuxedo Black, Cool Caribbean and Purely Pomegranate ink.
I added two flowers cut with the same papers using the Prima Donna Petals Die-Namics (I am a bit obsessed with these flowers if you hadn't noticed). You may have noticed that my border matches the postage frame perfectly...that's because I cut it again and used it as a border. Love that!!! Some silver brads finish off the front.
The inside is SUPER simple...letting the patterned paper do most of the work. I stamped the XOXO and hearts, both also from First Class Friend, added more silver brads, and called it done!
Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card:
