Too Cute To Spook!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Thursday!!
So...it's been quite some time since I've had a card on here created with SU! stamps.  In fact, I can't remember, prior to creating this card, the last time I even used my SU! stamps.  It all started one recent day when I was uploading a card to SCS, and I spied this adorable creation by Ilina Crouse.  It's the thumbnail to the SU! galleries and as soon as I saw it I swooned a bit.  SO cute.

Then, I came upon this darling creation by Lydia Fiedler while going through my Google Reader.  Oh my word.  REALLY cute.

Finally, I saw this totally sweet creation by Mindy Bingamon.  TOTALLY cute.  Color me smitten.  I needed it...this set had to come home to me!  LOL!!  I headed on over to my friend Jessica Diedrich's SU! page and placed an order.  It arrived yesterday and I couldn't help but stop what I was doing and ink it up!

I used the September SFYTT for my card.  I really really love this month's sketch and I am sure I will continue to use it alot.  The patterned paper is Glowing from Authentique and all of the images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock, colored with Copic Markers, cut out and then arranged into a little spooky scene.

The Black Licorice background was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, which wound up in my SU! order because of the GORGEOUS creations that Vicki Burdick always makes with it.  She is so amazing!

The sentiment, "Too Cute To Spook" is from the newly released (and so adorable it hurts) Pure Innocence Little Witch from My Favorite Things (currently being restocked) and I stamped it onto cardstock that I cut out with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics, also from MFT.  I anchored the sentiment to the card with a button tied with a bit of twine, and I added two black brads on the top.

The card base is Orange Fizz Cardstock from MFT.  A quick note about MFT Cardstock...the colors are SO amazing and are a perfect match to SO many patterned papers out there!  I can match any patterned paper I want to use with the MFT Cardstock colors.  Just thought I'd share...it makes me happy!

Thanks SO much for stopping by and reading all my babble!!

  11. Jodi: Your work is absolutely gorgeous. I found your blog by searching for it because of your beautiful cards posted in TwoPeas. I just love your style, and wanted to tell you that I'm a big fan. I'm glad I found your blog now, and will be back time and again to see what you're creating. It's all wonderful. Please do stop by my blog and take a peek. I am running a give-away right now for an antique floral frog, which would be an awesome way for you to showcase these beautiful cards you make. I hope you will stop by and enter the drawing, just scroll down to the blog post that says Give-Away. Thanks again for sharing your delightful cards. They really are amazing.
