1st Birthday Princess!

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!!

It's week 40 of our WSC Getting Sketchy. We have another fabulous sketch for you this week!  Meet MFTWSC40!

Before we get to my card, I'd like to announce the winner of my Blog Candy!  April...come on down!  You win the Woodgrain Fence Die-Namics and Pure Innocence Feeling Froggy!  YAY!  Please send me an email with your snail mail address to jc511 at optonline dot net!  Congrats and thanks for everyone who left a comment!!

For my card today, I pulled out the ever darling Pure Innocence Birthday Princess to create a 1st Birthday card for my sweet little Avery...who turned 1 on September 27!

I stamped this cutie, colored her with Copic Markers and then cut her out.  I gave her crown and the candle flames some sparkle with Cool Highlight Glitter.  I layered her onto a circle cut from patterned paper, and then layered with another circle and a panel cut with the Open Scallop Doily Die-Namics Duo (the larger of the two).  I used some Charcoal Twine for the horizontal panel.

For the sentiment panel and treatment, I started by stamping "Birthday Princess" onto a panel that I cut with the largest banner die in the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.  I then added a heart cut from the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics, the number "1" from By The Numbers Die-Namics, and a circle from the Sunshine Die-Namics.  On the circle, I stamped "st" from By the Numbers...spelling out my sentiment, "1st Birthday Princess".  LOVE how you can mix and match Die-Namics and create any look you want!

For the inside, I added more patterned paper, a heart again cut with the Homespun Birdhouse Die-Namics, and a button cut with the Button Quartet Die-Namics, tied with some more Charcoal Twine.  The sentiment, "You Are A Gift" is from the new Pure Innocence Girl and Baby.  Too sweet.

Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC40 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, October 11th to play along.
