Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
Taylored Expressions is hosting a Holiday Hoopla today and I'm excited to be a part of it. You should have arrived here from my sweet friend Tracy Clemente's blog. If you didn't (or if you get lost along the way) you can head back to the beginning at Taylor's blog for the full list of participants.
There are 22 designers showcasing Christmas/Winter/Holiday stamps sets from TE with samples that include all sorts of projects from cards to gifts and beyond! We want to inspire you to get your holiday crafting and card making into high gear! Be sure to stick with me all the way to the end of the post to get a coupon code for 25% off holiday stamp sets at Taylored Expressions!
The set I'm showcasing is Snow A la Carte and I love it because it is SO easy to make a card, either CAS or more intriciate, with it! I really do adore all of the "word" stamps from Taylored Expressions, and this little snowman just makes me melt (grin).
For my card today, I started with last week's Sketch Challenge from SCS, SC355. This layout was just perfect for this stamp! I stamped this stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some glitz to the snowman using my trusty Quickie Glue Pen and some glitter. Love how sparkly he is!
The patterned paper is all Season's Greetings from Echo Park Papers and I created the scallop border using the Medium Scallop Border Taylored Die. The red panel behind the focal panel was impressed with the Lots of Dots Taylored Impression Plate.
I sewed all the layers on my Janome Sew Mini and added some ribbon and a bow created with The Bow Easy. In between each scallop on the border, I added one of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, and as always, using Embellie Gelllie made attaching them to the glue a breeze. The focal panel is popped up with Foam Tape for extra dimension.
Here are the Taylored Die and Taylored Impression Plate I've used on my card:
Creating for this hop caused to me to go back and look at some of my previous creations and I wanted to share one of those with you today too. One of my favorite holiday sets from Taylored Expressions is Holiday Wonder, and when it was released, I created this holiday frame with it. Each and every year I bring this out when I decorate for Christmas and I still just LOVE it.
Are you getting in the mood to stamp? Be sure to check out Taylor's 12 Days of A Handmade Christmas Video Series for lots of easy gift ideas. I especially love her post HERE about creating a password journal. I SO have to make myself one of those!
